How the ai-petri plateau will look like after reconstruction (photo). Ay-Petri Mountain Plateau Ai-Petri: winter sports and mountain tourism Ai-Petri mountain range, tourism center

Better than mountains there can only be mountains.
And even though the mountains in Crimea are not high, they are still mountains.
Demerdzhi, Karadag, Chatyrdag, Karabi, Babugan, Echkidag and, of course, Ai-Petri. I love to go there.
Each place is interesting in its own way. different time of the year. Somewhere autumn is incredible, somewhere summer forbs, and somewhere spring awakening.
On Ai-Petri it is almost guaranteed that you will encounter frequent fogs in the spring. Rather, these are not entirely fogs.
These are clouds that creep on the plateau from the side of the sea.
And then during the day you can visit under the clouds, above the clouds, inside the clouds, or watch the clouds break against the rocky walls of the mountains ..
Backpack, water, tea, camera ... The rest is superfluous.
To leave more room for emotions.

2. Earlier April morning at the Ai-Petrinskaya Yayla, as the plateau is correctly called. Nice sunny weather. In the distance, one can see the balls of locators on Beden-Kyr.

3. Southern slopes. The Ai-Petrinskaya Yayla itself is a plateau that stretches for more than 20 kilometers from west to east, gradually narrowing to the east.
And in the place where it passes into the Yalta Yayla, the distance between the southern and northern slopes is a little more than a kilometer, which allows observing two completely different landscapes in a short time. On the one hand - the sea, steep rocky walls and coniferous forests, and on the other, which you can quickly go to in 15 minutes - Mountain peaks to the horizon, covered with a beech forest, lakes, villages and Sevastopol 40 kilometers away on the very horizon

4. On the plateau itself, wooded areas are found in the western part, moving to the east mainly into the steppe.
True, here there are also small islands with conifers, as well as the most bizarre kind of gnarled birches.

5. There are even birch groves. They were planted by hand in the 60s.

7. The road to the Ai-Petrinskaya yayla.

8. Rocks Taraktash on the southern slope of the plateau. The Taraktash trail winds down along them, along which you can get from Ai-Petri to the Uchan-Su waterfall and further to Yalta

9. The famous "window" in the form of a cross in the rock

10. One of the countless talus gorges descending towards Yalta.

11. The eastern side of the Ai-Petrinskaya yayla stretches, passing into Yalta, then Gurzufskaya and Babugan-yayla.

12. We go to the northern slopes of the plateau. Hence a completely different view. In the distance - the Boyka massif

13. This is how Sevastopol looks from the Ai-Petri plateau. Due to the distance of 40 km and the haze, I had to apply a rather harsh image processing.
Otherwise, we would only be able to see the dim outlines of the city in the distance.

14. There are no longer such gorges as on the southern slopes. These are much more gentle beams that descend into the beech forest.

15. View of the foothills. Below is the Belbek Valley.

16. While we were observing the Kachinskaya Valley, dense clouds began to descend on the plateau. We return to the southern slopes, because it is there that you can fully observe both the movement of clouds above and below your feet, and their formation when air masses break against these steep rocky walls

17. Clouds cover the sun and sink lower and lower

18. From them, in the literal sense of the word, the wind tears off pieces and "drops" on the rocky slopes

19. The cloud just sweeps along the wall right under your feet.

20. I turn my head back, and then everything is completely different. The sky literally fell down

21. Clouds break on the rocks, unable to rise higher, swirl downward, creeping lower and lower towards Yalta.
This is how the sky suddenly tightens in Yalta when you walk there, for example, along the embankment

22. But ... Nothing is permanent, and the sky begins to rise up, filling the entire space on the slope of the yayla with a thick fog of clouds

23. Another moment of the collision of clouds with rocks

24. And under your feet ... As if boiling jelly

25. Trees are buried in clouds

My previous photo reports and photo plots:

SIMFEROPOL, 30 Mar - RIA Novosti (Crimea). In Crimea, several projects for the reconstruction of the Ai-Petri plateau are under development at once: it is planned to create the world's longest zip-line, a small eco-town and a rock garden, said Anri Kanunov, a freelance adviser to the head of the Yalta administration.

Earlier, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, promised to restore order on the plateau of Mount Ai-Petri, which is chaotically built up with hotels, cafes and retail outlets, by May. One of the reconstruction projects was developed by order of the mayor of the city Andrey Rostenko.

"IN this moment this project is also being approved by the ministries of the Republic of Crimea and will later be submitted to the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov, "the press service of the mayor's office quotes Kanunov. According to him, today several ideas are being considered to create a small eco-city on Ai-Petri , intended for recreation and entertainment. At the same time, no capital buildings on the plateau are planned.Among the projects to be implemented, the most interesting, according to Kanunov, is a rock garden, glass observation platforms and a stone labyrinth made of gabions (three-dimensional products of various shapes made of twisted wire mesh with hexagonal cells).

The world's longest zip-line with a length of 2.6 kilometers may also appear here (now the longest such structure is located in the Copper Canyon of Mexico - 2545 meters). Zip-line is a descent along a steel rope with a lift from the ground through the air.

Also in the area cable car on the plateau it is planned to make a special area for recreation and walks, where a dry fountain will be located. The issue of holding international competitions is being worked out balloons building a chapel. The plateau will also have bike and snow scooter tracks, parking for cars and sightseeing buses, Helipad... "But there will be no numerous catering establishments and souvenir tents on the plateau. There will be only one stationary cafe located at the top station of the cable car and the adjacent souvenir rows," Kanunov assured.

Ai-Petri plateau reconstruction project

The Ai-Petri plateau is located above Yalta at an altitude of about 1200 meters above sea level, where a high-mountain cable car is laid from the coast. Part of the plateau territory is included in the Yalta Mountain Forest Reserve. In the Ukrainian period, illegal objects of trade, which the Crimeans call "shalmans", were unauthorizedly built on Ai-Petri. In cafes, tourists are offered food and draft alcohol, which is often not certified. Attempts to ban illegal activities on the plateau have previously met with resistance from traders.

Eclipsing even the "tallest" peak of the Crimea - Roman-Kosh with a height of 1545 meters. In the hierarchy of mountains, this is a baby - "only" 1234 meters high and a couple of million years old. It got its name, as is commonly believed, from the name of the medieval church of St. Peter. The temple is long gone, but the name stuck, and today a rare mountain lover, having visited the Crimea, did not look at Ai-Petri. There is something to see. The big Crimean canyon with a depth of more than 320 meters is located on this mountain, on its northern slope. Until mid-summer, numerous streams flow at the exit to the Kokkozka River. The water temperature in this river rarely rises above 11 degrees. More than 60 percent of Crimean orchids grow on the slopes of this gorge, including the rarest species, the Lady's Slipper.

For those who like to shout in the mountains, the canyon will respond with a sixfold echo. The people get to the top, who is on what much. "Horseless" - or on foot on foot along the path with the strange name Taraktashskaya, or by cable car from Miskhor (ticket price is about $ 8 one way). Owners of iron horses - along the mountain serpentine. The first two options are recommended - they make it possible to better see the beauty of these places. But in the case of the funicular, you will have to stand in line. On the way up, you will meet the Uchan-Su waterfall, the largest in the Main ridge. The water here falls from a height of about 100 meters. True, in the summer only a few streams run there, as Uchan-Su is fed by karst waters. But the purest mountain air and the peaceful silence of the forest more than compensate for this small "overlap".

Upstairs you will be served various national dishes and will be served local wine. Even camels are there at your service, although the relevance of the "ships of the desert" here is not entirely clear, horses would be enough. So pay and ride while contemplating the surroundings. From the southern plateau you can admire Yalta and Alupka. If you bought an excursion to the Ai-Petri plateau and got here as part of a group, you will probably be taken to an ice cave, one of three caves in the center of the plateau. Snow lies there all year round. The guides will not forget to tell an almost Shakespearean legend about two young people and their unhappy love.

One of the most famous - the Ai-Petri plateau - holds the title of the snowiest and most windy place in Crimea. The wind here sometimes reaches 50 m / s. Despite the seeming habitation, the mountain can show its wild disposition, if you move away from the well-trodden paths. If there is no experience in such trips, you should refrain from trying to independently research Ai-Petri. Mistakes mountains, even those "small", do not forgive. The Ai-Petri teeth will be imprinted in your memory forever, constantly reminding: "Better than mountains can be only mountains that have never been before."

In Crimea, several projects for the reconstruction of the Ai-Petri plateau are being developed at once. All of them are under consideration in the relevant departments and ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As the correspondent of the portal "", one of these projects was developed on behalf of the head of the Yalta administration, Andrei Rostenko.

“At the moment, this project is also being approved by the ministries of the Republic of Crimea, and in the future will be submitted to the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov,” said Anri Kanunov, a freelance advisor to the head of the Yalta city administration.

According to him, this week in some funds mass media, including on Internet portals, another project for the reconstruction of the Ai-Petri plateau was published, provided by the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Administration of the city of Yalta, which is now also under consideration in the capital of Crimea.

“We do not yet know which of these projects will be approved and with what amendments, so it is too early to talk about what will be located on the plateau,” Anri Kanunov emphasized.

At the same time, he said that there are several ideas for creating a small eco-city on Ai-Petri, intended for recreation and entertainment, where they will concentrate interesting objects, as harmless to nature as possible and attractive to tourists. At the same time, no capital structures are planned on the plateau.

Among the projects to be implemented on the plateau, the most interesting, according to Anri Kanunov, will be a rock garden, glass viewing platforms and a stone labyrinth made of gabions (three-dimensional products of various shapes made of twisted wire mesh with hexagonal cells). The world's longest zip-line with a length of 2.6 km may also appear here (now the longest Zip Line - 2545 m is located in the Copper Canyon in Mexico).

In addition, in the area of the cable car on the plateau, it is planned to make a special area for recreation and walks, where a dry fountain will be located (a fountain equipped with a special grate, from under which water jets beat, and the water pool niche itself is hidden under the grate). Thanks to this design, people can come close to a dry fountain, walk along its grate - in a word, be in the very center of events.

Also, the issue of holding international balloon competitions is being worked out, and a number of other interesting entertainment events reflecting the general ecological concept of the development of this territory, without causing irreparable harm to nature.

As explained by Anri Kanunov, in addition to the above, there will be an opportunity to ride bicycles on the plateau in summer and snow-scooters in winter. For these purposes, special bike paths and downhill tracks will be organized here. Along with this, there will remain the opportunity to ride animals, but all this will be in a modern, civilized form.

And for cars and sightseeing buses on the plateau, it is planned to make two parking lots. It is assumed that a helipad will also appear here, which will be designed, among other things, for search and rescue operations, which is especially important in winter, when it is rather problematic to climb the plateau by road.

“All over the world, in such hard-to-reach mountainous areas there are specially equipped helipads, which are primarily intended for emergencies, ”said Anri Kanunov.

But there will be no numerous catering establishments and souvenir tents on the plateau. There will be only one stationary cafe located at the upper station of the cable car and adjacent souvenir rows.

“A lot of controversy and controversy in social networks was caused by information about the appearance of a church on the plateau. I would like to clarify that it will be a small chapel, which will be located on the side road on the plateau, near the Mountain Ski Club, ”explained Anri Kanunov and added that the Yalta city administration is ready to consider any proposals to increase the attractiveness of this cluster, subject to strict control over the safety of the existing ecosystem of the plateau.

Photos of the renewed section of the plateau near the upper cable car station, where the ugly town of Tatar cafes and shops was demolished in May this year, were posted on Facebook by a resident of Crimea, Irina Pavlenko.

Over the past couple of months, little has changed there: all the same geometric paths with soil under the lawns between them, the forged fence along the cliff, the remains of the foundations of cafes filled with concrete, and the rather dull dark gray treadmill tiles. It is still not very similar to the presentation of the project for the reconstruction of a plateau with glass barriers and balconies hanging over the cliffs, and it is not known whether it will be similar at all.

From a relatively new: on the plateau, not far from the upper station of the cable car, a helipad appeared with the H sign - Helicopter.

What to do here for spoiled helicopter passengers is not entirely clear. Perhaps they will be able to make a stop here on the way from the Simferopol airport to expensive villas and hotels. South Shore to ride on the yayla in jeeps or to hunt, saving time on the ascent along the serpentine from Yalta or Bakhchisarai. Because just walking here doesn't feel like it, and it's not just the inclement weather in which these pictures were taken: there is emptiness around.

However, there are frames for renting bicycles near the cable car station. Judging by the logos, this business will be carried out by the Freerite organization created under the ex-mayor of Yalta Andrei Rostenko, which has become a business monopoly on the Yalta embankment.

The same organization monopolized, according to local entrepreneurs, paid access to the Ai-Petri teeth. To go there on foot through the woods, you need to pay the inhabitant of this booth. At least during the warmer months.

It is a coincidence or a pattern, but on the approaches to the object of the traditional for these places "shnkurkovy business" there is a characteristic slovenliness.

The oasis of market chaos, which reigned here on several hectares for more than 15 years, has also survived after reconstruction. It is now concentrated near the building of the upper station of the cable car, which once passed into the ownership of Nadezhda Olefir, the ex-wife of the Yalta deputy and businessman Leri Svanidze. Here is the only cafe with an unpretentious name "Upper". Andrei Rostenko publicly allowed only her to feed and sell tourists on the plateau.

Bicycles for rent will appear here now only next summer. But if the asphalt road leading to the cable car from the side of the descent to Yalta is not cured of the giant pits, it will be problematic to ride on them: the grooves on Ai-Petri are completely rocky. And no one is in a hurry to invest in high-quality repair of the roadway - the asphalt remains have just been leveled with a grader and covered with gravel.

However, sprouts of spontaneous trade also sprout through the tiles laid by the developer Eugene Kabanov. This man, even on a cold and chilly day, sells bottled wine in the whistling wind. Most likely, it is fake - some kind of tinted compote with alcohol, God forbid, ethyl. Six months ago, there was a lot of such goodness here in almost every Tatar cafe.

These obstacles on the road are also left from the "Tatar" times. The dark-haired guys from the firms sponsored by the ex-head of the Bakhchisarai Mejlis Akhtem Chygoz (convicted of involvement in organizing clashes near the walls of the Supreme Council of Crimea on February 26, 2014), knocked people off those who wanted to park 100 rubles each. Now these fences guard the pedestrian zone. It is not yet clear whether they will take money for travel inside in the summer.

On the right, where you can see the paths paved with troutar tiles, there was an array of demolished cafes. Left - the outline of the cable car station is guessed in the fog. Let's hope that the empty earthen beds between the paths will be sown with grass and ornamental shrubs, as envisaged by the project.

View of the same place from the other side. The picture was taken at the beginning of this summer, right after the voluntary-compulsory demolition of shalmans. Here you can see what the space, now paved with tiles, looked like.

And this picture was taken several years ago. Just for comparison. To judge more objectively, make allowances for sunny weather.
