How are babies fed around the world? Rest with a child in China. Our experience How to feed a baby in China

In Russia, it is customary to give small children cereals, fruits and vegetables as complementary foods, and when it comes time to introduce meat into the diet, it is usually either chicken or turkey. Have you ever thought about what mothers from Mexico and China feed their children? We invite you to look into the plates of tiny inhabitants of different countries of the world.

Bulgaria

Veal, rabbit and fennel are often included on the infant menu. They are also given mashed potatoes from cabbage, broccoli and other vegetables with a pronounced smell, while fairly neutral potatoes are rarely used to feed children. Bulgarians are guided by a very unusual logic that if a child gets used to strong tastes, then it will be easy for him to fall in love with weaker ones.

Germany

In a country where sausages and beer occupy an honorable place in the diet of adults, great attention is paid to the nutrition of children. German women are very picky about the menu of their kids and buy only the most lean meat (for example, pigeon or rabbit meat). Of vegetables, pumpkin and potatoes are most often used, and rice is most often used for cereals.

USA

In the United States, as everyone probably knows, there has been a problem with the nutrition of the population for many years, and this is confirmed by the fact that more than 50% of Americans are obese. If we talk about the smallest inhabitants of the country, then in this case, the percentage, of course, is somewhat lower, but it also raises serious concerns about the health of children. In recent years, American doctors have sounded the alarm and urged parents to take care of the quality nutrition of the younger generation. Therefore, more and more mothers here themselves prepare food for their children, and do not buy ready-made cereals in stores, which often have too much sugar and carbohydrates. Sweet potatoes are very popular among vegetables, lean chicken is very popular from meat, and apples and prunes are among fruits.

Japan

Perhaps you think that Japanese children eat raw fish from birth? In fact, this is not the case. Their diet is mainly based on rice, boiled white fish, spinach and burdock root (it tastes very good and resembles both potatoes and parsnips at the same time).

Canada

In the past few years, exotic cuisine has become very fashionable in Canada, so the inhabitants of this country often prepare cocktails for their children from various tropical fruits. Turkey is the most common meat, sweet potatoes are vegetables, and young corn is the most common cereal.

Poland

Obviously, most Poles want their children to grow up into big, strong and mighty heroes. How else to explain that from an early age kids are taught to "serious" food such as hearty meat soup with veal and vegetables, pork goulash with vegetables and noodles, or chopped meat with boiled?

Mexico

Little Mexicans are really lucky, because their country is always warm, and therefore the season of fresh ripe fruits lasts all year round. Mothers here feed their babies healthy purees made from tropical fruits such as mango and papaya. Such food is not only tasty, but also extremely rich in vitamins and minerals.

China

Many are convinced that Chinese kids eat only rice and soy sauce, but this is not at all the case. Most mothers in this country prepare delicious homemade food for their babies. They try to make food nutritious, but at the same time easily absorbed by the body, for which they use chicken meat, lean fish, asparagus, bamboo shoots and Chinese cabbage. In addition, toddlers are given herbal teas made from a mixture of chamomile, linden blossom and other healthy plants.

Every parent, sooner or later after the birth of a baby, wants to go on vacation. Of course, with a baby, it is advisable to choose resorts with a climate similar to that hometown, but sometimes you have to make long journeys to distant countries. Any long trip is a hassle, and a long trip with a small child is doubly hassle.

What must be taken for a child

The first step is to put a first aid kit in your suitcase, because if a forgotten rattle can be purchased on the spot, then there may be problems with medications. Therefore, you need to prepare in full and take medications for any possible diseases: from a cold to diarrhea.

Before the flight

Before the flight, be sure to consult with your pediatrician and heed his recommendations and advice.

Acclimatization

On arrival, remember about the possible acclimatization of the child. At the same time, it is almost impossible to predict whether the child will be subject to acclimatization. In order to try to avoid it, give the child a course of vitamins on drink a couple of weeks before the planned trip.

Nutrition

It is also worth taking with you the baby food of the company you prefer, and introduce local food into the diet very slowly and carefully. Try to buy traditional products: apples, yoghurt, bread, cheese ... Naturally, you need to avoid specific local very spicy cuisine. A nursing mother should also refrain from gastronomic tours. Both mother and child need to use only bottled water, as local water can cause stomach upset in the child. For the same reason, it is advisable to ditch local fruits or wash them thoroughly.

Well, if there was food poisoning or allergies, then what to do? The tips in this article will help you not to cloud your vacation.

In flight

The flight usually lasts 9-11 hours, and during this time you need to feed the baby and entertain him. In some airlines, a nanny is attached to children from 2 to 8 years old in business class. There are also special seats and sleeping bags for children.

Advice: when taking off or landing, if the baby is small, it is better to give the baby a breast. While sucking, the baby will not have ear congestion.

The documents

A responsible procedure is the preparation of documents for the export of a child abroad. To travel to China with a child, you need a birth certificate, a questionnaire, two photographs of 3x4 centimeters of a special form, as well as a notarized power of attorney from the second parent or both parents, if the child is traveling with the mother or father or another person, even a close relative. When drawing up the documents, you must immediately note that you will be entering China with a child, and clarify the full package of documents that will be required in a particular case.

For Russians, more recently, a foreign passport is issued separately for a child for five or ten years. That is, as earlier it was not possible to enter a child in your passport, this does not give the right to cross the border. The inclusion of a child in your passport only confirms the relationship, not whiter. Therefore, applying for a visa to travel to China will be a necessary requirement.

If you lose your passport, you should follow the advice that is indicated in this article.

Airplane tickets for a child

Airfare for international flight for a child under two years old is 10% of the tariff, but more exact information need to be inquired with the airline. In Russia it is free of charge, but again it is necessary to check with the air carrier, since the conditions may change. For example, we paid a small fee for an international flight. For the domestic Chinese flight, they also did not pay the full cost.

Important! Not all Chinese airlines provide free tickets, so when shopping, look for airlines that sell tickets between 0 and 2 years old. From 2 years old - 70% of the tariff.

To China with children. How to keep them busy. Good vacation with child

Any caring mother is wary of spending time abroad with her child. After all, even a child's home constantly has to be protected from something, and abroad the dangers are dozens of times greater. And besides, will your child be interested in a foreign country? And if you think about how a child will endure a flight on an airplane, you can go crazy!

Remember the main rules when going on vacation with a small child: do not leave him alone and try to maintain the usual daily routine as much as possible.

When choosing a resort for a vacation with a child, the determining factor should be the distance and travel time. Therefore, Russians living in the central and European part of Russia prefer to rest in Europe. But the residents of the Far East are going to China with their children! For example, the resort town of Beidaihe is only 2 hours away by plane and plus half an hour by bus. This resort area located on the coast of the Yellow Sea, 4 hours drive from Beijing. The climate is temperate continental. Sandy beaches, many amusement parks, one of the best safari parks throughout Asia. In addition, it is in this place that the Great Wall of China originates.

The long-awaited sea will not please with transparency azure waters... It is rather cloudy gray, due to the fact that fine sand constantly rises from the bottom and muddies the water. But the sea is very warm, which is perfect for swimming with children. It is also quite calm. During a two-week vacation, you may not even see the waves.

The first question that arises for families who came to China with children is how to feed the children? Chinese cuisine is very specific: many hot spices, raw foods and exotic ingredients. Children's stomachs would hardly be able to digest it. Therefore, Chinese chefs in restaurants have adapted the traditional menu to include children's cuisine. For example, Peking duck, boiled chicken, etc. Well, in supermarkets you can buy milk, and natural yoghurts, and biscuits.

Hotels in China are different. For example, in the above-described Baidaihe, all hotels are three-star. There is a lot of free walking space on the territory of the hotels, playgrounds for children, green plants and plantings of flowers. Of the tree crops, pines are widespread, which exude a wonderful forest scent!

How to organize leisure time for a child in China?

We must say right away that China has a rather interesting system of paying for excursions for children. At the entrance to the territory of the amusement parks there is a height gauge: if your child is over 140 cm - the cost of an adult ticket, from 120 to 140 cm - half the cost, below 120 cm - free of charge. It will be interesting for very young children to visit the botanical garden, safari park, lantern park and the Olympic park, as well as go to the hot springs.

If we talk about where it is better to go with children, what Chinese sights to visit, the following should be said. China is a huge country, traveling with a child, you can create a whole program. It will be especially interesting for older children in China. Great story of this country "will leave the pages of history textbooks" and will come true! An educational vacation in China with a child contributes to the development of creative inclinations, harmony and a sense of beauty.

Do not get carried away with studying cultural monuments, the child just needs to run, jump and swim! And in China, many water parks, dolphinariums and other entertainment places have been built.

One of the most memorable parks is Beijing Disneyland. The entrance is quite inexpensive. The rides here are really amazing! Adrenaline is provided not only for children, but also for adults. We recommend buying a small park guide before entering the park. Believe me, the most vivid impressions of the trip for a child will remain from Disneyland!

As soon as it gets dark (7-8 hours), you can go with your child to the Lantern Park. This is a park with magical lakes!

In general, children will not be bored on their vacation in China!

Greetings, friends!

This summer my husband and I decided to go on a joint vacation with our child abroad. For our daughter (2.5 g), everything was for the first time: the flight by plane, and the endless sea, and people speaking another language.

But the most important and dear thing was unchanged: mom and dad were there, and this is the most important thing for the child. Moreover, we have kept the usual routine of the day for our daughter.

We were vacationing in China, on the yellow sea in Beidaihe. Why China? The decisive factor for us was the distance: to the resort in Beidaihe - 2 hours by plane + 30-40 minutes by bus.
You will hardly surprise the inhabitants of the Far East with a vacation in China, although some still said: "how to go to China with a small child?" Today I want to tell you a little about the peculiarities of rest in China with children, sharing our experience.

Introduction

Beidaihe, a resort area of Qinghuangdao, is located near Beijing (4 hours by bus) on the shores of the Yellow Sea. The climate is temperate continental, similar to ours in the Far East, but only milder. Here sandy beaches, picturesque park areas, many amusement parks, the best safari park in Asia, the Great Wall of China begins here.

Sea

The Yellow Sea is not like the azure sea depicted in beautiful photographs. It is gray-yellow due to the innumerable amounts of light suspended sand in the constantly swaying sea space. It is very difficult to collect seashells here as a souvenir, because very, very early in the morning, hardworking Chinese people collect them and make all kinds of souvenirs from them that can be bought right on the beach.

The sea is warm and during our stay it was calm: only twice in 14 days it pleased us with good waves.

What to eat?

The traditional question of parents traveling to China with children: "How to feed the child?" Chinese cuisine is very specific, with many different unusual sauces and flavor combinations. Nevertheless, the Chinese have already adapted to the large number of Russian tourists with children, and in almost every restaurant you can order dishes acceptable for children, for example, boiled chicken, Peking duck, rice. Some restaurants prepare a good shish kebab, without an abundance of seasonings, reminiscent of ours.
There are many restaurants with Russian cuisine in Beidaihe, where you can taste borscht, our Russian soups cooked in the Chinese style, mashed potatoes with a cutlet, pilaf, salad Olivier, etc. Of course, all dishes are different from our traditional Russians: for example, in the soup with meatballs, there are a lot of coarsely chopped onions in half rings and chicken meatballs. You can buy baby yoghurts, milk, biscuits in supermarkets.

Our especially fastidious food Anechka ate rice, meat, Chinese soups (she didn't like the Russians), yoghurts, vegetables and fruits. By the way, the prices for fruits here are two times lower than ours, however, everywhere you have to bargain a lot. Anyutka always ate quickly, and then ran to the aquariums with sea inhabitants: octopuses, fish, shrimps, mussels, and watched them for a long, long time, while we slowly had dinner.

Hotels

Almost all hotels in Beidaihe are three-star hotels. We stayed at the Druzhba hotel. They chose it because of the huge territory surrounded by a forest park and the presence of a children's playground. The hotel grounds are full of flowers, flowering trees and pines growing everywhere, creating a heady pine scent. Pine trees are not ordinary: low, spreading and with large needles.

The rooms have everything you need: refrigerator, air conditioner, two single beds, wardrobe, TV with Russian channels and shower…. with water going straight to the floor. Only a few of the hotels in Beideiche have baths. And so, even in new cottages (such as ours, after renovation), after taking a shower, the floor is half filled with water. True, thanks to a good hood, it dries quickly.
A separate issue is cleaning the rooms. All tourists in Baidaikhe are warned in advance by travel agencies about this sensitive issue. Cleanliness in the room is not the main thing. We had to keep track of the regularity of changing towels and bed linen ourselves, and before going to the beach to show “kune” (a girl in Chinese) what and where should be cleaned. By the way, the hotel staff speaks neither Russian nor English... But we remember this with a smile, because initially tuned in for a positive vacation.

Excursions: where to go with the child?

We did not set ourselves the goal of actively visiting excursions, although there is something to see in Baidaih. Nevertheless, we still visited several local attractions (we chose what would be interesting for our daughter). Separately, I would like to say about the cost of excursions for children. Everywhere at the entrance there are height meters: if a child is less than 120 cm, he passes for free, from 120 to 140 cm - for half the cost, over 140 cm - with an adult ticket.
With young children in Baidaich, you can go to the safari park, botanical garden, lantern park, Olympic park and hot springs.
It takes a lot of time to visit the safari park and the botanical garden (you can devote the whole day to the botanical garden). These days we had a daytime sleep in the bus / taxi: Anyutka slept while we were driving there and back.

In the safari park you can see many animals, almost in their natural habitat: tigers, lions, bears, wolves, wild boars walk freely in the forest, and tourists pass them by bus or train.

Almost all animals (except predators) can be fed. The Chinese make good money on this - small bags of food are sold everywhere. For Anyutka it was a real entertainment: she fed the monkeys right from her hands, which ran freely around the "city of monkeys" - a huge open-air cage with a lake, rocks, a waterfall; peacocks walking and waiting for food; miracle fish, with huge mouths that sucked to the nipple and pulled water with small larvae from the bottle; giraffes, ostriches and goats.

V Botanical Garden in addition to the outlandish long cucumbers hanging overhead, and other beautiful plants, there is also a valley of butterflies, a tropical garden, a pet park (where Anya finally saw live geese) and many children's attractions. Therefore, we alternated the excursion with riding on merry-go-rounds, catamarans and electric cars.

The hot springs it is best to visit in bad weather. While it is raining outside, and there is no way to swim in the sea - you can splash great in the pools with mineral water... Two pools are under the roof and one is directly on the fresh air surrounded by picturesque mountains... Whether your child will like the springs depends on how much he loves the water. All pools are deep (so that an adult can stand in them), and the child should be in a circle or in the arms of the parents. Our Anya is a big fan of splashing, but indoors the water seemed too hot to her, and we spent all the time outdoors, swimming and admiring high mountains around.

To the lantern park and it is better to go to the Olympic Park in the evening, when it gets dark. Fortunately, in China it is already dark at 7-8 o'clock. Lantern Park is a fabulous park with mysterious lakes, a roaring dragon and a fabulous castle with many passages, passages and interesting rooms. There are many different lanterns in the park, and even adults begin to feel like children, falling into a fairy tale.

Olympic park famous for its singing fountain and the most beautiful laser show. A huge dancing fountain with illumination amazed Anyutka so much that she told us about it for a long time afterwards.

Almost all excursions can be taken independently (except for the hot springs). This option is best for parents with children. This way, you can explore the local attractions at your child's pace and not be in a rush. The main thing is to have a business card with you (to return back by taxi).

This concludes my short story about our journey.... Although, in fact, I could write a whole article for each item. If interesting - ask questions... And next time I will tell you more about the rest at sea.
