Homemade beds for overnight chairs. "Double trunk": house-shelter for overnight cars. Prepare insect protection

Overnight in the forest - how not to climb

Imagine the situation of extreme survival in cold weather when your clothes are not able to protect the body, and there is no corresponding equipment at all or it is very limited and ineffective. An affected person with a threat to the offensive hypothermia must be sleeping, but you know that you will never wake up if you lose consciousness.

I will tell you how to survive in a similar situation. There is a way that can provide a comfortable, warm place for overnight chairs in jetty weather even if your clothes are not adapted to low temperatures and you do not have almost no equipment or special survival skills in the wild, except opportunities to build a special place for overnight stay and ignite fire . In fact, you will have to make sure that such a "bed" was cool enough to sleep in it!

Special "bed" for survival, which will allow in cold weather to remain warm and can save your life - called "Fire bed (English Firebed)" or "bed on coals".

Before I begin to explain how to build a place for the night, I would like to emphasize that if you are not in a real survival situation, but only practicing, try to pay special attention to the issue of preserving the environment with minimal damage from your actions. Avoid damage to the roots of trees and plants, be careful with the fire in the wilderness.

Show respect for nature and it will surely take care of you!

Requirements for the construction of "Fire Bed"

Since the creation of a "beds on coals" requires a lot of time and effort, it is important to first find a suitable place. You need to look for various features that will make it easier for the production of "beds", as well as natural materials necessary for its construction and creating additional comfort.

Preferred areas:

1. Protected, as far as possible, from wind, rain and snow.
2. With the soil, which you can proceed to a depth of about thirty centimeters and do not encounter large stones, roots of trees, ice or water.
3. Places rich in dry fuel to maintain fire. The solid deciduous trees are preferred. They burn longer and create a hotter flame. Soft breeds quickly roast and highlight a lot of sparks.
4. Places with an abundance of underlining dry material (leaves, pine needles, grass, feround (feline tail), etc.) for body isolation.

Consider each item in more detail.

Weather-protected areas

If you can, choose a place with natural shelter. Stone protrusions, hanging thick trees and even the roots of the fallen trees can provide good asylum compared to the open area. You will need to find a piece of smooth land, which, at least half a meter or meter, is longer than your body and is wide enough for a comfortable overnight stay.

Suitable for digging soil

Since you will need to divert the deepening in the ground, the correct soil selection is extremely important. Prefer the terrain in which:
* Groundwater are not close to the surface. If you get to the water - you need to dig in another place.
* The soil is easily processed by subwoofers.
* Little roots or large stones that greatly impede work.
* In the snow-covered areas, look for a place where you do not have to dig too deep to the ground.

If you do not have a shovel for digging - do not despair! Use your set of cutlery, knife, strong stick or even your own hands.

Usually, in a cold climate, the soil freezes to a significant depth. Depending on the situation, you can find a soft soil at the foot of the southern slopes, where the sun rays sufficiently warm up the land. Or you can dilute the fire, in order to melt the soil layer in front of the ruin.

Fuel for the fire

A good "bed on coals", as relies from the name, requires a layer of hot and long smoldering coal. For this reason, the best fuel for building such a "bed" is solid deciduous trees. If possible, arrange your stay next to the source of dry fuel.

You can use soft rocks, but they cannot create high-quality coals, more characteristic of solid rock trees. Dry grass and other natural materials do not leave coal, but can be used to ignite fire and heat heating.

Solid species of trees: Grab, Eucalyptus, pear, cherry, apple tree, Elm, Tik, Hickory - North American hazel, beech, oak, birch, ash, male, nut.

Soft species of trees: Lipa, spruce, fir, aspen, cedar, alder, Tsuga, Pine, Kashtan, Iva.

Material for isolation

In case you are not enough for warm clothes, sleeping equipment is poorly adapted to the conditions of the cold climate or is completely absent, you will need a good source of dry, soft material for thermal insulation and upholstery. Usually, the forest litter is a good natural "blanket", consisting of foliage, evergreen needles and herbs.

Even in areas with deep snow cover, if you try to try hard, you can find the insulation material. Inspect the large boulders, where the land around the stone is often not covered with snow and dry leaves are accumulated there (by the way, a good place to arrange overnight stay). Check the southern slopes and barrels of evergreen forest, which is usually less snowless.

In winter, wet areas (swamps, rivers, lakes) can provide you with excellent material for thermal insulation in the form of a rubbish (cat tail) and a reed. To these plants, it is easy to get, since all the water freezes, and the snow is blown away with a smooth ice surface.

Caper or tarpaulin, wool blanket, polyethylene or other similar material (waterproof and / or preserving heat) can help.

Survival situation

Imagine that your truck broke into a distant mountain area and you will have to spend the night in cold weather on the street, without special equipment. Your clothes consists of sneakers, thin cotton pants, t-shirts, cotton bikes and caps. Of course, you had to use a three-layer clothing system, but no one could assume that the truck would ever break - this is the main mistake in the mountains.

You also have a foldable army blade, an old wool blanket and the ability to dilute fire (fire, matches, lighter, you can use the battery of the machine or even a battery from a cell phone).

You can make a "fiery bed" and without blanket or shovel, but without fire you will not come out. Therefore, it is imperative to always have an emergency kit with you, in which waterproof matches will be stored or even better - light and magnesium bar.

For work

As soon as you decide on the place, start digging the trench of the following dimensions: the width is about 30-50 cm., Length is about 180 cm., Depth - 30 cm. Do not scatter the ground as it fell, but carefully fold into a bunch. Later we need stones, so separate them from the general soil.

After the trench is ready, lay out the bottom of the sizes with a fist, leaving the interval of 2-4 cm. Between them. Stones, in principle, are not an absolutely necessary condition, however, they will help create an air layer so that the fire will be hotter and the best coals will turn out. If during the digging you did not find enough stones, you can search for them somewhere near, just do not collect porous or layered stones, as well as those that were in the water. When heated, they can explode!

Now you can regret the fire. As a clutch, I used dry pine needles and a pine cone. When the fire will turn around and the first coals will appear, scatter them throughout the trench so as to cover the maximum area. Our goal is to maintain a uniform fire for the formation of coal and soil heating throughout the perimeter of the trench. Add firewood as needed and spread the corners within 2-3 hours. This time can be used to prepare food, boiling water, as well as for drying clothes or underfilm materials.

Then sprinkle the coals with a 10-centimeter layer of soil and thoroughly sink it. Ensure that all coals are well added and steam or smoke does not break through the ground layer.

Everything, now it remains only to wait. There must be an hour or so before you feel the pleasant heat of heated soil. If this happens earlier, most likely you need to ship out another 3-5 cm. The lands from above, otherwise your bed can be too hot for a comfortable overnight stay.

It remains to cook "mattress". Look for a dry soft material and fold it into a bunch. When the coals sufficiently heat the surface of the trench, can cover the soil with a uniform layer of insulating material. The thickness and amount of insulation depends on the specific conditions and your capabilities. It is recommended to use a layer of at least 20-30 cm. Thick.

Several logs laid parallel to the sides of the trench will reflect heat and additionally warmed you. In addition, they will serve as a wind alone and will not allow you to slip into the cold earth.

results

When I did this bed, the ambient temperature was about -4 degrees Celsius. Four hours later, the surface temperature of the soil over coals reached 43 degrees, and the land in a radius of 30 cm. From the trench was slightly warm. By changing the thickness of the underlining material, you can adjust the temperature of the "fiery bed".

The main problem when using this overnight is evaporation. The fact is that the solar and / or material used for insulation, as a rule, contains moisture. As a result, heat from the coal turns moisture into the pairs and it turns out something like a sauna. For this reason, it is desirable to use only the most dry tools for body insulation. If possible, then go to the waterproof material (plastic, tarpaulin, canvas, polyethylene).

The next morning, fourteen hours after the construction of the "bed", the air temperature dropped to -8 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of the soil surface was still held at about 32 degrees. This is an excellent result!

This technique for creating a comfortable warm seat for the night will allow you to survive in cold weather without gear and special clothes. Good luck!

In order to accommodate conveniently in, we need two trees, standing near at a certain distance from each other. This condition is not always possible to ensure, for example, on fishing on the bank of the river, only shrub trees are growing. In such a situation, you can create comfortable conditions for afternoon or for overnight, building a hiking bed with your own hands on the basis of a grid-hammock or a hammock, but from the fabric.

Such a hiking or garden bed for many people is more convenient than a hammock, since it can be lying without bending on her side and stomach.

Dimensions and other features of the bed. Length of supports - 4 m. The size of the network is 1.3x3m. Cell side 5 cm. The circumference of the extreme cells is 40 cm. The rope with a diameter of 3mm, from which the grid is made, withstands the load of 150 kg and even more. Nodes need to be made simple and small, otherwise they will affect comfort. The rope is good twisted bitter and not thin, since the thin thread from Capron prone to stretching. Capron Rope, but not twisted and in the braid of the same diameter will stretch more and strength to it below. You can, of course, use a tarp or other solid tissue instead of a mesh.

Before going to the campaign, check all the pegs and ropes on the spot. Spread the tent at home and make sure that you have all the necessary spare parts for its installation. Usually the tent consists of a waterproof awning and an inner lightweight tent with a mosquito net and a waterproof bottom. Peers, frame arcs and ropes are attached to it, which hold the rag house with strong wind.

Do not be lazy and check if you work with your tent. With the arrival of darkness, not only cold, but also all sorts of small creatures can be filled.

2. Learn to put a tent

It is very important! The crookedly delivered tent not only embarrassing the perforations with its appearance, but can leak up in the rain or fly under the wind. To begin with, read the instructions - it still did not damage anyone.

Remember that the tent should stand on a flat surface without any holes and bugs. Collect a tent (bring all the ropes, stick pegs, stretch the awning and close all the doors). In this position, the tent should not subscribe. If it looks like a real smooth house, you can safely sleep in it.

3. Bursting the rug or mattress

Despite the fact that the tent is equipped with a waterproof bottom, the cold she passes perfectly. And if you do not want yourself something to frozen, then get foam or an inflatable mat. Tight high-quality foam will save you from cold and moisture, but it's quite hard to sleep on it. Although after one or two nights you are accustomed, and the back will cease to hurt. Two narrow foams Stelite Vansel, so that the cold did not get into the gap between them.

Inflatable rug or mattress softer foam. Sleep on such a bed comfortably, but it is worth five times more expensive. Choose to you.

4. Prepare a sleeping bag and blanket

If you think that a simple blanket in the summer will save you from the night cold in a tent, you are very mistaken. In nature, especially in the morning, it happens very cold. Therefore, the sheet and the blanket will fit only if you have a heated tent.

The optimal solution is a sleeping bag. Choose it carefully and pay special attention to the comfort temperature, which is indicated on it. This is the air temperature at which you do not leave in a sleeping bag.

5. Grailching with you

It will not take a lot of space, but the cold night you will be really rejoice. A good option is a salt warmer: it is enough for a long time, it is safe to use. If the cold caught you by surprise, and you do not have a special warmer at hand, you can take a conventional plastic bottle, fill it with hot water and put it in a sleeping bag.

6. Do not forget the pillow

Another important thing that will help brighten the night in the tent is a pillow. You should not take a large homely duct pillow or a dumper from the sofa. All this variety will perfectly replace an inflatable analogue. Inflatable pillows are sold not only in tourist stores, but also in hypermarkets.

Another good replacement of the pillow is a case from your sleeping bag, in which you can add warm things, for example a jacket. In the tent there will be order, and you will not lose the case.

7. Prepare insect protection

Mosquitoes, beetles, wets, spiders are not the most pleasant neighbors in the tent. So that insects do not penetrate the rag house, close the doors tightly. If they crawled there, it is possible to apply a folk remedy - to raise the pizhma bouquets in the tent. But not the fact that you will find it.

You can nadimate with special spirals, but they are not very pleasant, and the intrapalaric space is very smashed. Night in this room will not want not only insect, but also you yourself.

There is a modern way - a portable device on batteries. It works all night, does not smell and no cozy, but it costs more than spirals.

Do not wear wool clothes on nature, as the flavor of wool attracts ticks.

8. Capture replaceable socks

In the conditions of a tent camps, you may have to change and a couple of socks per day. They will not take a lot of space, so do not modify and take at least three pairs for two days.

9. Take a folding chair or seating

In order not to look for a worthy brother and not sit on the blankets, grab folding chairs or a sewing sewer with a rubber band, with which it is attached directly to the tourist. Sitting on a chair or chair is very comfortable, but you can not remove the foam during the day. "The seat for seating will be with you wherever you go, and your hands will be free.

10. Prepare lighting for tent and territory

In order not to stumble in the night about the pegs and do not look for things to the touch, stock up economical, but quite powerful lighting. Cover the transparent plastic jar luminous in the dark with paints. Better from the inside, so that you do not swap your hands.

Or tie a flashlight to a water bottle, and you can even just put on your smartphone with a flashlight.

Hi friends!

I do not know how for whom, but in order to relax well on the trip, you need to sleep well.

If we spend the night in a tent, it should be warm, dry and gently. Especially when children go to us. Heat gives a stove, dryness - correct, but how to achieve softness? Today I propose to figure out how to make a homely bed "homely" comfortable and comfortable.
Based on our own experience and experience of friends, I can confidently say that the main option here is three: karemt, self-adhesive rug or inflatable mattress. There are, of course, a bunch of homemade options - for example, lay a place under a tent straw, yelnik or moss, or you can carry ordinary cotton mattresses with you, but here we will not talk about them, as it is much more convenient to use special tourist equipment.

The main purpose of the rug or mattress into a tent is to protect it from the cold and damp, coming from the ground and smooth out the horror relief under the tent. Each type of bedding has its pros and cons. So, let's consider each option.

Karemati
These are mats of foam materials: polyurethane foam or polyethylene foam, usually twisted into a roll. Their main advantages include comparable ease, compactness and low cost. Such a rug is easily attached to a backpack or fits inside it and does not take up much space. The perfect option is if you go to the hike.

It is possible to use it not only as a mattress for a sleeping bag, but also as a litter on the grass for children's games or both the flap from the wind for the gas burner. (I recommend having such a rug on a trip with children, even if you are not going to sleep on it)
Karemats will fully protect you from dampness and cold coming from the ground, but to the unevenness of the soil will have to adapt.
Special care does not require such a rug, just avoid sharp stones and branches and keep it away about the fire, as I sparks can burn it. It will be even better if you acquire special covers protecting it from damage.
Choosing a karem, give preference to a two-layer, as they are more durable and reliable than thin single-layer specimens and use them not only in warm weather.

Air mattress

Many use them not only in the tent, but also in the car, and in the afternoon they still go to them. They are usually performed from rubberized tissue and represent the mattress, which must be administered to the pump. If you drive by car, it usually does not occur with pumping problems, the pump is always with you. And some manage it and from the exhaust pipe to pump up 🙂

The advantages can be attributed to the fact that he perfectly copes with the irregularities of the soil and, as already said, the day can serve as entertainment in water procedures. Well, and perhaps relative low cost. The rest is cons.

  • First, if you sleep on it together - you will sleep in one pile, having risen each other (but maybe it's not minus 🙂)
  • Secondly, it has to constantly pump up, even if there is not a single hole, as it has a property slightly lowering the air under the weight of the body. And in the morning you still wake up half-sidew.
  • Thirdly, very low thermal insulation due to the fact that sleep is actually in air, which quickly cools from the ground. In order to deal with this, you have to put an extra blanket between the mattress and sleeping bag.
  • Well, of course, such mattresses are very susceptible to puncture, so do not forget to take Remkomplekt with you. Somehow with a girlfriend in the forest, even without male participation, we managed to stuck such a mattress using a superclone and a piece of the car tire. As a result, he broke into three other places, and our patch served as faithfully.

In a hiking trip, it is unlikely that someone will drag off due to the high weight and occupied place.

Arrangement mats

This is a chimpt hybrid and an inflatable mattress. He will smooth all the irregularities and provide the necessary comfort and heat.

It differs from karesta in that the internal structure consists of a superior polyurethane foam placed in a hermetic sheath of polyester.

Unlike an inflatable mattress, it is not necessary to inflate it. It is enough just to open the valve and the air will fill the rug itself. True, take this process can from a few minutes before half an hour and will need a small duct or mouth with a pump. The latter is not recommended in cold weather, as the moisture contained in exhaled from the light air can freeze inside the mattress and reduce its thermal insulation. Running the rug is also easy - open the valve and fold.
Such a rug requires a careful relationship, as well as an inflatable mattress, as it is also subject to puncture, but to a lesser extent and if the puncture is small - Remkomplekt will correct the situation.
The main minus is its price, but she takepoint the "soft" sleep for those who do not want to lean the sides on the usual kamp.

Each itself determines the level of comfort that is acceptable to him on vacation. We chose for themselves this option:
