Installation of a branch leash: step by step instructions

The branch structure is also called "Moscow equipment" and has several types of basic installation in its arsenal. The rig is designed in such a way that only the tip of the rod is active, which ensures the greatest ease of biting and the complete absence of the weight of the suspended lead.

The most significant characteristics of effective diversion fishingare: lures, installation techniques and fishing methods. Having prepared competently, not a single fisherman will leave the shore of the reservoir without a catch. Although we must admit that it is perfectly used by beginners, who have recently become avid anglers.

Actually, this rig does almost all the work on its own, for example, a completely remote process of luring a predator.

But even wiring with branch fixtures are of several types:

  • With uniform fastening.
  • With asymmetrical fastening.

The most common and popular is the first mating option, thanks to which there is a chance to catch a predator on a spinning rod.

The most important thing with such a binding is to correctly select a weight, the weight of which should be distributed evenly.

Mounting options

The popularity of the choice of diverter rigs is explained by the fact that the fisherman feels all the "delights" of the dynamics of fishing and the process of fishing.

To begin with, it is worth understanding that the diverter leash is mounted on a spinning rod and a uniform pattern or a step pattern is used as a knitting pattern, also in some cases, for example, the "Stop and Go" option. It is recommended to hold the rod vertically up when fishing with such a rig, so that it is more convenient to lift the lead.

Blind installation

A fairly popular option is knitting on a triple swivel, on one of which the end of the main cable will be tightly fixed, and the other will move in a free direction. So, a sinker is attached to a fixed swivel, and to the second, the bait, thus, can move along the sliding swivel without being limited by the length of the fishing line. But if necessary, it is possible to attach rubber stoppers.

If necessary, you can use a special wire outlet in the form of the letter "G", which is knitted above the sinker on the main cord. The positive side of such a rig is the fact that it is quite simple to store it and at the same time not create hooks.

Sliding mounting

The most common type of braiding is the double swivel version, as the main material for which the main line serves. A weight is tied to one eye of the hook, on a fishing line 30 cm long, and to the opposite side the bait, on a cable up to 1.5 m, but not less than the length of the leash with a sinker. It turns out that the sliding method allows the swivel to move along the line, which is limited only by the design with lures.

Main components of the tooling

Such a diverter rig is often used for fishing at great depths, but most often a lot depends on a well-chosen configuration, baits, especially when it comes to making such a structure on your own, at home.

Rod

To ensure that, according to the recommendations of experts, the rod is always suspended, it is necessary to choose a snunning rod with a length of at least 2 meters. For fishing from the shore, it is best to take a rod with a length of 2, 7 to 3 meters. If we talk about weight, then it is worth adhering to the rule: the less mass, the better.

Coil

There is only one reel, but a rather weighty requirement - it must be fully balanced with the rod.

Cord

It is recommended to use the one that is most suitable for sensitive rigs, due to the fact that it does not stretch under load, and can accurately transmit all the shocks and movements of the fish, and due to it it is possible to probe and analyze the days.

The size of the cord directly depends on the size and type of intended prey. For beginners in fishing, it is recommended to choose from a huge range of braided line with a diameter of 0.12 mm, which can withstand a load of up to 10 kg.

Leash

For a leash, you must opt for, in order to provide resistance to tears and snags, especially when fishing for large, predatory fish. In some individual cases, fishermen use fluorocarbon line, which provides maximum rigidity. In length, the leash should be at least 50 cm and no more than one and a half meters.

Sinker

Often, sinkers weighing up to 30 grams are used, it is recommended to choose a pear-shaped or Tyrolean sticks. Thanks to this choice, the minimum number of lugs is formed on the rocky bottom. The main criterion for choosing a load is the casting distance and the intended fish. The leash must be attached above the level of the lead.

Fishing line

The branch design involves the use of a monolithic thread or fishing line made of fluorocarbon. The advantage of this choice is the fact that the fishing line is practically invisible to the fish, so it will not be afraid to attack the bait. Also, these lines have a high percentage of tensile strength.

Hooks

In order to avoid snags and scuffing, it is recommended to choose hooks with a long forend so that it fits completely in size with the bait. But the most common option is the offset hook.

Swivels

In any of the selected options, it is attached to one of the ends of the line with a special fastener, which makes it possible to quickly change the bait, if necessary.

In order to use the installation on a triple swivel, you can use a special carabiner, which will also eliminate the constant entanglement of the line and its twisting.

Installation of a branch leash: instruction

Installation must be carried out very carefully and delicately, without damaging the complete set. To perform knitting, you will need to strictly follow the technology:

  1. First, you need to pick up 2 carabiners and one sinker, weighing up to 10 grams, if, for example, fishing is for perch. It is recommended to take a sinker in the form of a cylinder, and a leash made of silicone or fluorocarbon with a line diameter of up to 0.4 mm.
  2. Next, pass the working end of the fishing line through the eye of one of the swivels, so that it passes freely and slides along the line.
  3. Using the free eye of the swivel, put on a fishing line with a length of no more than 30 cm and pass a sinker through it so that it settles freely.
  4. After that, carefully tighten the ends of this fishing line with at least a triple knot, so that a loop is obtained, which will serve as a connection between the sinker and the swivel.
  5. Pick up the swivel on the main, working line and tie the leash to the free eye on the hook. You can also attach a pellet to the hook in order to make it easier to lower the bait to the bottom.

Leash for perch

For perch, most often a bait is chosen, such as a twister, which can gently pass along the bottom of the reservoir and not catch, as in the example with. It is thanks to this that this option for catching perch will be most noticeable for fish, the most important thing is to choose the optimal, stocked place.

Pike lead

For pike-perch fishing, self-made or purchased equipment is thrown as far as possible, but it is imperative to take into account some amendments:

  • Bottom structure.
  • Possibility of engagement.
  • Corrections to the wind.

Particularly important is the process of tapping the bottom with a sinker, followed by a meter-long leash during the casting process.

After the leash with the bait touches the water surface, you must wait until the bait lies on the bottom on a stretched line. This can be determined after the rod weakens a little, then it is recommended to slowly and carefully rewind, with small pauses. But it is worth being extremely careful and not frighten off the fish; during pauses, the line should be stretched as much as possible.

Leash for pike perch

Fishing for pike perch on a lead line is characterized by some peculiarities, since the pike perch has a strong jaw and a strong grip. Therefore, such a fish is easy to hook, but rather difficult to hook. In order to catch a pike perch, it is necessary at the moment of pauses during posting to lightly play with the end of the rod in order to create large vibrations of the bait.

Lure selection criteria

One of the important aspects that ensures effective fishing is the choice of bait.

For the most part, anglers who choose a retraction leash prefer to use twisters as bait for spinning.

Thanks to this, it is possible to choose a bait from a large assortment of colors and shades, for every taste and size, as well as use the bait based on weather conditions, fishing depth and fish activity. The undoubted advantage of twisters is their naturalness in water, which is identical to a live fish. And also lightness, which allows the bait to smoothly reach the bottom, unlike other analog options.

Vibrotails are quite relevant when fishing with a bottom rig, for example, when "hunting" for rotans or rotans, as well as when fishing for a ruff. The dimensions of such a bait are selected in accordance with the intended prey.

Various baits are used for a diverting lead much less often than the above-described baits, due to the need to use a fairly heavy weight. Indeed, during one of the harnesses for the leash, the fisherman must accurately feel the movement of the rig on and under the water. When choosing baubles and other similar baits, it is necessary to be guided by the type of fish, for example, for perch it is better to choose bright, shiny options.

Not a bad, but not the most common option are various floating suspenders, which are quite similar to twisters, especially during the posting period. However, wobblers are not recommended for deep sea fishing, it is best to use them in shallow water.

Fishing technique

The technique of using the diverter leash directly depends on each specific fish that is being "hunted".

In order for the fishing to go as efficiently as possible, you must adhere to certain requirements:

  1. It is recommended to carry out sliding installation in order to exclude as much as possible entanglement of the line and twisting of the leader;
  2. Cast and guide along the streamline, preferably at an angle of 70 degrees;
  3. Use various "tricks" and "tricks" of casting only as needed, based on each specific conditions.

The diverter rig is characterized by a number of advantages and benefits:

  1. Possibility to use slower sweeps with pauses and bait play.
  2. Long-range casting is very effective.
  3. The ability to use small baits and heavy weights.
  4. It is important to use edible rubber when fishing, especially for small fish.
  5. A well-chosen bait allows you to catch even inactive fish.
  6. Free swivels allow the bait to move in all directions.
  7. Wiring with such equipment allows you to knock the bottom well.

Disadvantages:

  1. Quite often there are situations in which the leashes and line twist and overlap;
  2. A small spinning rod when casting requires a lot of effort and experience;
  3. Fishing is slow enough.

When using a diverter leash, the main thing is to correctly choose the bait and the complete set, which will be most suitable for the weather conditions and for the intended fish.
