April 25th, 2017

Despite the fact that abandoned cities and eerie corners of the earth terrify impressionable tourists, hundreds of travelers constantly come to these most terrible places on the planet in search of thrills.

Prague cemetery

One of such terrible places in the world is the Prague cemetery with 12 thousand ancient gravestones, which operated in the Czech Republic for four centuries. In this cemetery, unknown travelers found their last refuge, but most often wealthy citizens were buried in luxurious processions. The territory of the cemetery is small, but 100 thousand of the dead are buried here. It is noteworthy that the older burials were covered with earth, then new dead were buried on top of them. This is how about 12 tiers were formed: now travelers can observe an eerie picture - the sagging earth has exposed several upper "floors" with coffins and gravestones.

St. George Church

St. George's Church is also located in the Czech Republic, in one of the tiny villages: tourists go to an abandoned temple, attracted by an unusual legend of the place. Sometime during the next funeral service, the roof over the church collapsed. Once Holy place Czech artist Hadrava decorated with numerous ominous ghost sculptures.

Mexican island of abandoned dolls

The Mexican island of abandoned dolls attracts adrenaline lovers with the exoticism of forgotten toys. In the middle of the last century, the hermit who settled here began to collect and “settle” dolls thrown into the trash. About a thousand broken and mutilated toys are tied to trees - many of the dolls sit on the ground or hang on branches: this is how the hermit decided to perpetuate the memory of the girl who drowned in the bay.

Chapel of bones

Japanese island Hashima

The Japanese island of Hashima is also considered the most mystical place in the world. This abandoned mining town once provided the country with coal: quarries and a mine operated in the late 19th century. People came here in the hope of making money: the miners densely populated the island with their families. Almost 40 years ago, the enterprise became unprofitable, the coal mines were closed. Now this island has become a popular ghost town with tourists.

Suicide forest

Jukai, the famous Suicide Forest, is located on one of the japanese islands and went down in history as a bad place where thousands of people took their own lives. The forest was initially notorious for the ancient legends about ghosts, and since the middle of the last century, suicides have become frequent in these eerie thickets. Deeper several hundred meters into the forest, along the paths you can find things - shoes, clothes, bags of the deceased. Knowing how attractive the place is for people with a weak mentality, the authorities installed a warning poster with a helpline number.

Burials of fire mummies of Kabayan

Among the most mystical places the world is also called the burial of fire mummies of Kabayana in the Philippines. These remains are more than seven centuries old: the locals believe that the spirits of the mummified deceased still live near the graves. A peculiarity of local customs - they buried mummies in small capsule-coffins made of wood, laying the bodies of the deceased in them in the most uncomfortable positions.

Akodessev Magic Market

In the magical market of Akodesseva, which lies in the center of the capital of Togo, you can see sorcerers who still practice voodoo magic and use dolls in terrifying rituals. In the rating of scary places in the world, tourists are attracted by the old psychiatric hospital in the city of Parma: it was once one of the most successful clinics in Italy, but over time the building fell into disrepair. The masterpiece of the object was made by an artist from Brazil, who painted the walls of the hospital with silhouettes of patients. Ghostly figures adorn the building, conveying to rare visitors the eerie atmosphere of an abandoned Italian hospital.

Plague Isle

In Italy, there is another terrifying attraction - Plague Island in the Venetian lagoon. Since ancient times, this place was adapted for the residence of patients who were exiled here from all over the country. More than 16 thousand plague people are buried here, but the locals believe that their souls have not calmed down and are still hovering over the graves. The island's gloomy reputation is also supported by legends, according to which terrible experiments were performed on the sick.

City of Centralia

Connoisseurs of the genre of horror and realistic computer games travel to the American city of Centralia for a special experience: it was here that the famous horror film "Silent Hill" was filmed. This town in Pennsylvania is famous for the fact that due to an extensive fire, the population almost left these territories. The underground fire has not yet been extinguished: the atmosphere of hopelessness is emphasized by ash particles in the air above empty streets with destroyed houses.

Mountain of crosses

The most mystical places in the world in the last century were replenished with a new attraction - the Hill of Crosses with ancient Lithuanian crosses is eerie a hill that is not a graveyard at all. According to numerous legends, everyone who erected a cross here will receive good luck and change their destiny for the better.

Cave in Belize

The cave in Belize attracts tourists with the strange atmosphere of the ancient Maya cult. This unusual archaeological site is located near Mount Tapira and is famous for a kind of cathedral, arranged in one of the cave halls. Here bloody sacrifices were performed for terrible deities. The Maya also believed that it was here that the gates to the underworld opened.

Chauchilla cemetery

The Peruvian Chauchilla cemetery is also on the list of the most terrible places on the planet. The country's landmark is located near the Nazca plateau, known to ufologists. The necropolis was discovered by scientists about a century ago. The method of burial attracted the attention of archaeologists: the dead were seated in graves, covering their bodies with a special composition. Thanks to ancient recipes, the dead are perfectly preserved: this was also facilitated by the dry climate of the Peruvian desert.

Snake island

In Brazil, the most creepy place is considered Snake island: the territory is famous for the presence of a huge number of snakes - here, on every square meter of forest land, you can find up to six dangerous and poisonous reptiles. Now tourists are prohibited from visiting Keymada Grande due to the risk of being attacked by huge venomous reptiles.

Molebsky Triangle

The Molebsky Triangle is included in the rating of the most creepy places in Russia: this is a remote village Perm Territory, in which anomalous UFO activity is seen. Previously, the Mansi lived here, who made sacrifices to their gods on a stone plateau.

Russia also has its own exotic City of dead: The small Ossetian village of Dargavs is famous for its richly decorated family crypts.

One of Scotland's bridges, Overtown, has become infamous for unexplained dog suicides. Dozens of dogs threw themselves down on stones and died, and the survivors went upstairs to try again.

Hanging coffins of Sagada

The list of the most terrible places on the planet would be incomplete without the hanging coffins of the Sagada - original burial structures are arranged in the forest of one of the villages in the Philippines. Locals bury the dead, hanging them so that the souls of the departed ancestors were closer to the sky.

Sanctuary Tophet

In the Tunisian sanctuary of Tophet, several centuries ago, animals and children were sacrificed: this was a feature of the bloody religion of old Carthage.

The unfinished subway in Cincinnati

The grandiose construction site is striking with the atmosphere of abandonment - an unfinished subway in Cincinnati. The depot was built at the end of the 19th century, but the branch was frozen for economic reasons. Now the depot can be accessed several times a year, although diggers from all over the world often visit the unfinished metro on their own.

Some Muscovites believe that there is some kind of energy source of unknown origin in Ostankino, and some generally talk about evil spirits. According to old-timers, there used to be a cemetery on the site of Ostankino, from which the current name came (the remains are Ostankino). Moreover, only sorcerers, witches and suicides were buried in the cemetery. Some say that the roots of all local anomalies come from here.

House on the embankment

The house on the embankment was built on the site of wine and salt warehouses and still makes a depressing impression, although the terrible Stalinist years, when every third tenant of the house was repressed or committed suicide, are in the past. The gloomy house was unusual from the start. For example, the 11th entrance was uninhabited. According to legend, apartments were tapped from its secret rooms and people were spied on. And the courtyards, although they were decorated with fountains, made an eerie impression of stone wells. And to this day, the House on the embankment is steeped in mysticism. Rumor has it that the former residents "wander" around their apartments, "visit" the corridors and staircases of the building.

Bruce's tombstone riddle

Another legendary address is a house in Moscow on the Red Gate, known as the Musin-Pushkin estate. However, some call it "Bruce the Wizard's House". The main attraction of the house is a trapezoid board resembling a coffin lid between the windows of the second floor. Once upon a time, the outlines of an irregular cross, the names of the months of the year, numbers, astrological symbols and other incomprehensible signs were embossed on it, a rod was inserted in the middle. It was a mystical sundial made by the famous magician and sorcerer Count Jacob Bruce, who lived under Peter I. It is believed that Bruce made them by order of the owner of the house, who had died by the time the work was completed.

The heirs simply laughed at the promised properties of the watch (they supposedly had to predict the fate and events of the owner). And the black Earl Bruce cursed the watch, bequeathed to them to show only the bad. They say that the curse came true more than once before both world wars and the revolution - then the stone of the board turned blood red. And sometimes the image of a white cross appears on it, supposedly indicating the place where the sorcerer hid the treasure. True, rumor does not recommend looking for treasures - it is unsafe, they are guarded by Bruce's ghost.

Shatura Marshes

If you look at the map of the Vladimir-Shatur area near the Klyaz'menye, you will immediately notice the almost complete absence of settlements. There is a mystical reason for this. In the summer of 1885, repair work was carried out in these areas on the Kolomna tract. The peasant Perfiliev contracted for 850 rubles to build an earthen dam on the Kovikha river. Arranged. A member of the Zemstvo Administration Kuryshkin left to take the dam and ... disappeared. The carter Gerasim Kudrin disappeared with him. The horse and cart also disappeared without a trace. Investigation of the incident yielded no result, and the case was closed.

And two years later, a whole train vanished without a trace on the Kolomenskoye tract. And again the police raided the forest along the road. Meanwhile, the mysterious disappearances continued. In 1893 the postman disappeared. In 1896 - a land surveyor together with a chaise and a driver. In 1897, two peasants disappeared on the tract. In total, until 1921, 19 traceless disappearances were recorded on the Kolomna tract. Several years ago, a group of enthusiastic researchers from Vladimir and Moscow discovered here a number of phenomenal phenomena caused by fluctuations in the magnetic field. Enthusiasts have hypothesized that during periods of "activity" of the mysterious place, it manifests itself, like the Bermuda Triangle. Researchers are also attracted by rumors about a stone ball overgrown with moss, concealing in itself the solution to mysterious disappearances.

Pleshcheyevo lake and Sin-stone

The main attraction of this anomalous zone is not the lake at all, but the so-called Sin-Kamen. It is said that a 12 ton boulder can move and change location frequently. In addition, sometimes a bluish glow emanates from it at night. UFOs were seen here a couple of times. Local fogs are also dangerous. Once in it, you can find yourself many kilometers from the original point.

Basurman crypts

Several centuries ago, a huge number of residents of the capital could not survive 1771. There was not enough space for everyone in the city graveyards, and besides, there were many dead people in the German settlement. As a result, it was decided to arrange an individual cemetery for the Gentiles on one of the banks of the Sinichka River. Today, many of those who have visited this mysterious place tell about the amazing sounds of musical instruments coming from the underground and about unusual visions.

Pokrovka village

An abnormal place, a village in the north-west of Moscow, where UFO flights and hovering are relatively often observed. Local residents often note here amazing atmospheric phenomena, local torrential rains, black clouds hanging over one place, strong tornadoes, etc. In a local pond, fishermen once saw a large water funnel suddenly appeared, measuring the water level and the investigation of this case showed that most likely there was a spontaneous discharge of water into underground voids... Around the same time, local boys saw bicycles flying along the railroad tracks in the sky (perhaps lifted by a tornado?). They say that while walking through the woods to the left of the road in the direction of travel from Moscow, mushroom pickers more than once felt sudden attacks of terror, the cause of which remained incomprehensible to them. In the same forest there are so-called "prodigal places" where even old-timers can easily get lost, and "terrible places" where dogs whine and cannot stay for a long time ...

In August 1993, an expedition was carried out in the southern part of this forest, the purpose of which was to search for the flight area of the three-star UFO observed here by a local resident in February 1993. Indeed, a place was found where an unknown object was hovering, breaking the tops of trees in the forest at a height of about 5 meters above the ground. It was found that the tops were broken off not from a side wind, but from a force applied vertically from above. Traces of mechanical impact were clearly visible on the fallen parts of the trunks, however, no traces of paint, rust or any material were found on the scuffs of the trees.

Golos ravine in Kolomenskoye park

There is an opinion that the very name "Voices" came from the consonant name of one of the gods - Volos or Veles, the ruler of the other world. Although less creative personalities attribute all to the voices that are supposedly heard in the ravine at night. Their origin is ascribed to the lost souls of the "lost" who went into the ravine, but did not find a way out of it. However, during archaeological excavations near the ravine, scientists discovered quite real traces of ancient settlements, indicating that Slavic pagans lived and actively operated in this region.

Today the ravine is in absentia ranked among the unfavorable places in Moscow, although its "bad" originates in the mists of time. Either people will disappear in its surroundings, or giants in skins will flash in the fog. It is not known for certain about the direct connection of this place with the other world, but there are always strange people hanging around in bizarre outfits chanting incomprehensible mantras.

Actorkin's ponds

A long time ago, on the lands of the Ostankino estate of the Sheremetyevs, there was a cemetery for suicides. It is difficult to say whether this was the influence of a place or a difficult unfree fate, but many serf actresses drowned themselves in ponds, which were even nicknamed "actorkin". Now there is a residential building nearby, and a television center building on the churchyard. Local residents and workers of the TV center say that sometimes in these parts you can meet an ancient old woman with a stick, which appears before misfortunes and tragedies.

Death road - Lyubertsy-Lytkarino highway

On a small road section that stretches only 6 km., A huge number of people died and were injured in accidents. This place has been of interest to researchers for a long time. abnormal zones and mystical phenomena. According to local legend, the road is located on the site of an abandoned cemetery, where only suicides were buried. The drivers talk about terrible visions, ghosts that live in these places. Many believe that it is the souls of restless sinners that make the living go astray. However, skeptics believe that such phenomena can appear under the influence of electromagnetic fields that arise in the places where communication cables are laid. In their opinion, they are able to influence the consciousness of the driver, creating imaginary hallucinations.

Marina Grove

Maryina Roshcha is a district of Moscow about which many legends and mystical tales have been written. Until the 18th century, this area was almost entirely covered with forest, after the felling of which, Maryina Roshcha was formed. In 1743, the local village of Maryino went to Count Sheremetyev, who changed the appearance of the area beyond recognition. Soon Maryina Roshcha became one of the favorite resting places of Muscovites. However, here they were afraid to appear alone because of fear of evil spirits. This is understandable, because, according to popular beliefs, suicides became mermaids, so on Semik (the third week from Easter) they went to the place where the dead were buried without repentance - that is, to Maryina Roscha. It was here that there was a barn where the unidentified dead were taken. After the plague epidemic, Empress Catherine forbade burying the dead within the city limits, and there, on Miusy, the first plague cemetery in Moscow arose. And in Maryino, terrible stories about the dead were circulating for a long time, who did not give a passage to the lonely traveler.

Secrets and legends of the Igumnov house

Mysterious legends are associated with the most striking domo on Bolshaya Yakimanka. This is the home of Nikolai Igumnov, a wealthy industrialist. For its construction, he invited the Yaroslavl architect Nikolai Pozdeev. The pseudo-Russian style was chosen for the construction, which was very fashionable at that time. The mansion was completed in 1893. Pozdeev managed to combine numerous decorative details into a single whole: picturesque tents, bell towers, vaulted arches, columns. The building turned out to be very harmonious, but the Moscow architectural environment did not accept a stranger. The barely erected mansion has received devastating criticism. Igumnov, succumbing to these sentiments, quickly became disillusioned with his Yaroslavl architect and refused to pay the expenses exceeding the estimate. Frustrated and ruined, the architect committed suicide. It is difficult to say whether this is connected with the tragic fate of the architect, but Igumnov's mansion has always been surrounded by an aura of gloomy legends. The most common of them says that the owner settled his dancer mistress in this fabulous palace, and when he caught her in treason, he immured the unfortunate woman alive in the wall. Since then, her ghost allegedly wanders around the sides of the mansion, disturbing the peace of its inhabitants.

Bear lakes

Abnormal location, according to many eyewitness accounts. Located in the north-east of the Moscow region in the area of 3 lakes, next to the village of the same name. Local fishermen said that they saw a large animal swimming with a huge mouth on the surface of the water. The animal allegedly came ashore, attacked cows and even people.

In 1999, an expedition took place on the lakes, the purpose of which was an attempt to confirm or refute rumors about the existence of a giant lizard-like animal in the lake. On November 18, a large animal was found in the southeastern part of the lake at a depth of about 5 m. The animal, about 1 m thick, hung in the water a meter from the bottom and did not move. In order to scare the beast, a small squib was detonated. The "target" slowly floated away. At about the same time, deafening blows began to be heard from under the ice - ice bursting from frost. The conclusion of the expedition after a complete study of the terrain and samples of water and soil was disappointing - the living of the pangolin in these lakes is very unlikely.

Ryazan

Ryazantsy is an anomalous zone in the Sergiev Posad district of the Moscow region, where auditory mirages are observed. One of the eyewitnesses talked about his impressions when visiting Ryazantsy: “In the 1960s, in the summer, after 22 hours, I went with a young man to the village of Kirimovo along old road from the village of Ryazantsy. I have walked this road several times before this incident. After walking a little along the path through the forest, I suddenly heard the voices of people, dogs barking, laughter, buckets and other sounds very close to us. You plunge into such noise, being in the middle of the village during the day, but there was no housing here. It became impossible to go further, as the sounds seemed to impede our progress. These sounds were also heard by my fellow traveler. It became very scary. We stopped. We stood for 10-15 minutes, listening to what was happening around, and then very quietly and carefully went back. My parents and other elderly people later told about another similar incident at the same place. I also heard a story about how passing by this "enchanted" place, people sometimes hear how on a tree standing in their way, as if someone or something is beating with a stick. A man will pass this tree, and the blow is heard on the next tree. There were also cases when a man suddenly appeared in front of a walking person in this place, who also suddenly disappeared. Old-timers associate these mysterious phenomena with the fact that once, according to their ancestors, many Tatars perished in this place, or a baggage train with gypsies perished ... "

Cave Silicates

Cave Silikaty is a famous natural cave located near the railway platform Silikatnaya (Moscow region), about which there are many legends and stories of mysterious cases with varying degrees of reliability. One of the most reliable stories refers to the initial period of the Great Patriotic War, when a bomb shelter was equipped in the cave. During the next bombing, a soldier from the front arrived in a nearby village, who, on the advice of fellow villagers, went to look for relatives in the cave. From the dilapidated entrance, one by one old women and children crawled out, and finally the soldier's wife appeared, but at that moment a huge stone slab began to sink.

The soldier threw himself under the slab, delaying its fall, perhaps only for a moment, thereby allowing the rest to leave. Before the eyes of dozens of people, the brave man crushed a terrible-sized stone, however, when they jointly dug the entrance and raised the slab, under it they ... found nothing! The relatives subsequently tried for a long time to find what they thought was still a living soldier inside the caves, during the next search somewhere underground, the mother, who was heartbroken, also disappeared. This is the story, the legend says that the ghosts of a soldier (in the form of the "White Spirit of the Caver") and the mother (in the form of "Two-Face") are still found in the far corners of the caves (several dozen cases of observations are known).

Beria's house

Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria lived in the mansion on Malaya Nikitskaya Street (formerly Kachalova), built at the end of the 19th century, for more than 15 years. The building now houses the Tunisian Embassy. In the basement of this house, the owner "arranged dates" with women. And the passion of the USSR People's Commissar of State Security for the opposite sex gave rise to a lot of rumors after his execution. They say that the ghost of Lavrenty Pavlovich's car regularly appeared (and continues to appear) in the vicinity of the mansion. People hear an invisible car approaching them, the engine starts to idle, and the sound of a door opening is heard. After a few seconds, the door slams shut, and the shadow of the car disappears into the night ...

Kuzminki Park

The old and quiet city park is great for romantic dates and family walks. Most of it is occupied by the 300-year-old Kuzminki estate. And like all old parks, this one is also covered with many legends. In particular, one of them concerns an elm tree, which grows on the banks of one of the park's three ponds. The eerie tree celebrated its 100th anniversary long ago and has acquired the nickname "Death Bough". They say that on the gnarled branches of this ominous elm, they were found hanged several times - as if the tree deliberately attracts suicides.

Pike manhole

A long and narrow manhole in the famous Syana cave near Moscow, where, according to local legends, there is an involuntary restoration of prenatal and ancestral memory in people trying to get through this hole. However, the opinion of skeptics about this phenomenon experienced by dozens of people is unambiguous - these memories are nothing more than subjective psychological associations.

Fefelov bor

Sand dunes, bizarrely curved trees and a mysterious atmosphere - near Ryazan there is its own anomalous zone - the so-called Fefelov bor. This forest, located not far from the Kanishchevo microdistrict, attracts lovers of the otherworldly.

The reason for exploring the area was the stories of those who visited it. According to people, they were haunted by a sense of anxiety. So far, there is no scientific explanation for this, but there are hypotheses. So, according to one of the versions, the forest invisible "something" is a clot of energy, the source of which is sand - after all, it has been proven that dunes have the ability to move. As they move, the grains of sand rub, causing energy that moves into environment... On themselves, people feel it in the form of a warm or cold wave and darkening in the eyes.

Sharp magnetic vibrations were also recorded in the sandy forest. Presumably, it was the waves that bent the pine branches at the roots. Biologists are in no hurry to confirm the relationship, and it remains to speculate again. It is assumed that trees also change due to the change in the magnetic background. The tree bifurcates, the branches grow sharply upward. There are many such trees of the same size in the forest. Perhaps this is a surge of negative energy. How far the negative aura spreads is beyond the scope of the researchers to judge. Fefelov Bor is located a few kilometers from the Kanishchevo residential area, which is surrounded on all sides by fields and reservoirs. In 2004, archaeological excavations were carried out here, an ancient burial ground was found.

Devil's ravine

Not far from the village of Lyada, Pskov region, this anomalous place is located. It earned its nickname at least a hundred years ago. Even before the revolution, people began to disappear in this ravine. Those who were lucky enough to survive, for inexplicable reasons, do not remember anything. Very often unfortunate people lose not only memory, but also reason. The most resonant case of disappearance of people happened here in 1974, when a group of mushroom pickers from St. Petersburg disappeared without a trace. Prior to that, in 1928, a brigade of lumberjacks disappeared here, and in 1931 several dozen kulaks, exiled here, disappeared along with their families.

Mound of Sineus, Vologda region

As we remember from the history textbooks, the Varangians Rurik, Truvor and Sineus came to rule Russia. Sineus ruled in Volgograd region, and his mound is located in Belozersk, Vologda Oblast. Although the talk about the fact that the highest mound, called the Kremlin, keeps under it precisely the great Varangian (the great in the literal and figurative sense of the Varangians, as they were remembered as heroes), is being conducted only on the basis of guesses and conjectures, and there are surprisingly many of them around the mound , and unambiguously they lead to only one mound has never been properly investigated, and one should not try to do this.

Several finds from the mound were taken away by Ivan III, who ordered to clarify who was in the mound, and then to fill up and protect the burial site from those who do not shy away from plundering graves, but documentary evidence of this has not survived. But there is no doubt that after the Bolsheviks came to power, almost crowds with shovels rushed to the mound. Black diggers were attracted by numerous legends that Sineus was buried in a golden coffin, that countless treasures in precious metals were buried with him, that, finally, Sineus himself was dressed in clothes decorated with gold and silver and adorable jewelry. Some studies, for example, attempts to dig the approaches near the mound, which were then filled with ground water, indirectly confirm this: a huge amount of silver ions was found in the water, which is not typical for these places. However, the one who is buried under the mound does not at all want to reveal his riches to not very grateful descendants, any unauthorized or scientifically organized attempt to open the mound ends in trouble.

Any digging done at the Sineus mound was flooded with groundwater, and so quickly that when trying to get inside, more than one person died. Those who risked approaching this place with shovels admitted that they felt as if someone was watching them, and someone was even “strangled”. Some even saw the spirit of some giant near the burial place. And once the cellar for storing potatoes, built here during the Soviet era, instantly rotted, leaving no potatoes or even a trace of props. However, there is a legend according to which one day the mound of Sineus will open to descendants. But this will happen only in "the most terrible times for Russia." And I would not want to hurry with this.

Zhigulevskie mountains

The Zhiguli Mountains have long been known for their paranormal activity. Several times over the centuries, cases of the appearance of UFOs and various light columns of unknown nature have been recorded here. There are stories that before the construction of the hydroelectric power station and the rise in the water level, it was possible to penetrate into huge caves inside the mountains, where prehistoric animals were found frozen in blocks of ice.

There are references to various kinds of mirages that appear over the Zhiguli Mountains: in the form of a ghost town or a tower. A number of legends speak of some white dwarfs living in the mountains, as well as ghostly elders who appear from nowhere. Local folklore connects unexplained phenomena with the mysterious Mistress of the Zhiguli Mountains. There are also prodigal places in Zhiguli, where even experienced tourists, as if spellbound, walk in circles, returning to the starting point of the journey. Residents of the surrounding villages try to bypass them.

Mountain of the Dead, Sverdlovsk Region

About 30 dead. In the Mansi language, Holat-Syakhyl is a mountain 1079 m high in the Northern Urals. Since 1960, this place has also been called the Dyatlov Pass. It is on the slope of the mountain of the dead in different time several groups of tourists were killed. In 1959, a group of tourists led by Igor Dyatlov went on a hike. On February 1 (the date coincides with the famous magic holiday of Candlemas), 1959, 9 people began to climb to the top. On the slope, not having time to climb to the top, the group sets up a camp, becomes a witness of a terrible event, the cause of which is still not clear. In panic, having cut open the tent with knives, the tourists rushed to run down the slope, some barefoot, some in the same felt boots, half-naked ...

There was no sign of a struggle or the presence of other people. No signs of avalanche, hurricane, tornado. All tourists were killed. Their skin was an unnatural purple or orange color, and the damage was unnatural. Then the entire investigation was classified under the direction of the 1st secretary of the regional committee of the CPSU. According to legend, before this incident, 9 Mansi died on the mountain. In February 1961, another group of tourists died. In the early 90s, the Gentry newspaper published in several issues extensive material about the "Mountain of the Dead" and the results of studies undertaken at the same time by Vladivostok ufologists. Today, the place is easily accessible for tourists, but due to its notoriety, it is practically not visited. Our expeditions have not identified any anomalies in this area at the present time.

Forest "Myasnoy Bor"

Myasnoy Bor - as if, by some evil irony, a small settlement in Novgorod region, for whom fate prepared a terrible role - to become a bloody meat grinder, which in 1942, during the Lyuban operation, grinded many tens of thousands of lives and destinies of Soviet soldiers of the 2nd shock army of the Volkhov Front. There are many places in Russia, generously watered with soldier's blood, but Myasnoy Bor is a special place. Forests and swamps of the Novgorod region are bad places in themselves. And when in the swamps, on the edges of the forest, on the country roads, many human bones turn white, they become completely creepy.

It was because of the miscalculations of the military leadership that the soldiers fell into a trap - they were surrounded and destroyed. In the future, not considering the position strategically important, they stopped the supply of medicines and provisions. The soldiers were doomed to starvation and painful death. They fought bravely and died, but they were undeservedly forgotten and, in addition, slandered. There are no random people in Myasnoy Bor: only search engines looking for the remains of our soldiers and black diggers scouring in search of military values. From year to year, search parties raise our soldiers for reburial, but the impression is that this does not reduce their number here.

This forest communicates with people in its own way. He lets some people in, but not others. So, for 10 years now, Novgorod businessman Roman Novikov has been trying to open a base extreme rest in this "Valley of Death". But something always breaks down. Either at the last moment it turns out that not everything is in order with the documents, or the equipment fails. But not once in the past years did Roman even manage to really drive into the mystical forest.

Many people know that the Earth has its own energy. It plays the role of a kind of videotape, which at certain moments records and reproduces the most significant historical events.

And today, say local residents, in the forests of Myasny Bor, distinct male voices are heard from time to time, the smell of makhorka, the creak of branches are clearly felt. At the same time, at first it seems that some mushroom pickers are walking nearby or maybe someone is sawing the forest. But if you shout, no one responds ... And it becomes really creepy. And around - then silence, then again - voices, automatic fires. Some people who have come to these places have heard loud cries of "hurray", as in old movies, when a company or a platoon rises into battle ... Novgorod scientists have introduced a new concept into scientific use - a military anomaly. Experts believe that where during the Great Patriotic War soldiers died and were not buried, a powerful energy field appears. As a consequence - otherworldly voices and strange phenomena.

The very atmosphere of a dead swamp, overflowing with corpses, creates a difficult situation in these places. Many search engines have repeatedly drawn attention to the fact that birds do not settle and do not appear in places of mass presence of the killed, the situation is corrected only after the human remains are properly reburied. Probably Myasnoy Bor is one of the few places in Russia where in reality you can find this a rare thing, like chronomirages, but we do not advise just bothering the souls of the dead ...

Lovozero

Lovozero is the fourth largest lake in Murmansk region, is one of the most famous anomalous zones in Russia. What is not attributed to this object: distortion of space and time, fluctuations in the gravitational background, therapeutic effects on the human body ... In addition, near Lovozero you can find a yeti - Bigfoot.

An expedition of 1920, led by A.V. Barchenko, head of the Murmansk Maritime Institute of Local History. The purpose of the expedition was to study the most frequent phenomenon in the Lovozero area - "measuring" - a mysterious mental illness spreading like an epidemic. "Measuring" acts as a mass psychosis, depriving people of their will and making it senseless to repeat various movements one after another or indiscriminately execute other people's commands. The effect lasts from several hours to a day and can be repeated. The Yakuts explain the "measuring" by the fact that an evil spirit is infiltrated into the patient's body. The expedition was constantly faced with unexplained phenomena. Also, many ritual objects and buildings were discovered, left over from the ancient culture of the Lapps.

Lovozero remains the object of special attention of scientists to this day. Expeditions headed by V.N. Demina. Their goal was to find the mysterious country of Hyperborea. And in 2000 V. Chernobrov with his group of researchers recorded a lot of evidence local residents that Bigfoot lives in the Lovozero area.

Medveditskaya ridge

Medveditskaya ridge is the strongest geoactive zone, a chain of old hilly mountains, 200-380 m high, located in the Volgograd and Saratov regions at a distance of 15-18 kilometers from the city of Zhirnovsk. Eyewitnesses claim that things unimaginable for an ordinary person are happening on the Medveditskaya ridge. Strange triangular objects, luminous round or spherical objects appear. Some locals claim to have even seen a UFO land.

Medveditskaya ridge is also famous for its ball lightning. They say that sometimes you can observe several fireballs quietly flying low above the ground at once, which easily burn their way through the thick trunks of trees. By the way, trees burnt in such an interesting way are really found on the Medveditskaya ridge quite often! In addition, according to some researchers of the Medveditskaya ridge anomalies, these lightnings fly strictly over two tunnels located underground at a shallow depth. There are ancient legends about the existence of enchanted or cursed places in the area of the Medveditskaya ridge, about strange forest dwellers living in these parts.

Devil's Lair, Volgograd Region

Several dead. A place on the Medvetskaya ridge in the Volgograd region. According to unconfirmed reports, spontaneous combustion of people occurs at this place. Cases of the discovery of the burnt body of the shepherd Yuri Mamaev in 1990 and a similar case with the combine operator Ivan Tsukanov are cited. Although the second case has nothing to do with self-incitement, Tsukanov died saving the combine and the grain field from the flames, and in the first case there are too many facts suggesting that Mamaev died from setting fire to hay, nevertheless this place is considered anomalous.

Death Valley in Kamchatka

Another famous disastrous place in Russia is the Valley of Death in Kamchatka, which became known back in the early 30s of the XX century. There are hot springs on the western slope of the Kikhpinych volcano. Their small thermal grounds are cut by ravines, on the slopes and at the bottom of which weak streams of hot acidic water, steam and gases are knocked out. The lowest of the sites acquired a sinister reputation and received the name of the Valley of Death ... The Valley of Death was discovered by hunters who lost their husky dogs.

The hunters found the bodies of dogs in the upper reaches of the Geysernaya River at the foot of the Kikhpinych volcano. Next to them, on the bare - not a blade of grass - ground lay a lot of dead birds and animals - bears, wolves, hares. In horror, the hunters fled from this "damn cemetery", and it was not in vain. Soon the dogs, who had been with people in a "bad" place, died, and the people themselves began to wither before our eyes: they became lethargic, rapidly losing weight, they began to have inexplicable headache.

Samarskaya Luka

Samarskaya Luka is considered today one of the most active anomalous zones in the world. According to experts, in the last 10 years alone, more than a thousand paranormal phenomena have occurred here. For example, eyewitnesses say that they have repeatedly met such phenomena as "cat's paws" - several luminous lights that can be observed over the Zhiguli mountains, and "cat ears" - low rays of light that seem to appear from nowhere. Also, they say, meetings with the Bigfoot are not uncommon here. And he was seen by well-educated and sane people. For example, one of the meetings took place in the fall of 1950, a few kilometers from the road to ToAZ, at the edge of the forest. In July 1977 - new information about meeting this creature. A resident of Zhigulevsk, going into the forest, looking up from the satellite, suddenly felt someone's presence. Turning around, she saw a creature two meters in height, covered with wool, he had deep-set eyes.

Another anomaly - in the village of Vali, several years ago, for the first time in the region, anomalous ovals were observed in granular fields. This phenomenon is really paranormal, say ufologists. In addition, as experts say, they are very fond of emesta and UFOs, regularly appearing here. There are many other paranormal phenomena in Samarskaya Luka.

The main fame of the Samara region and Togliatti was brought by such natural objects Samara Luke, like a rock White stone, Leshego ravine, Gorodishche, Shamanskaya Polyana and, of course, Mount Svetlka. They say that the wishes made on it tend to come true. There is a belief that some people who climb the mountain get better personal life, someone is lucky in business or a career, new knowledge appears, and someone even begins to read minds. It turns out that along the above objects there is a fault boundary between two geological plates. This position is believed to produce powerful geomagnetic radiation. According to the locals, "Mount Svetelka is energy." And for this reason, these places have become a Mecca for pilgrims and scientists from all over the world.

Rock White Stone has long been considered a place where "roads go from nowhere to nowhere, and time is powerless." It happened that people who got there noticed that time flows there somewhat differently than in “our” space. It seemed to them that they had only been in this place for a few hours, but in fact days had passed. They say that once a young hunter went to the rock, wandered for three days in the Lesha ravine that guards the White Stone from the south. He came out gray-haired, did not tell anyone where he was and what he saw, and only repeated: "I will not go there anymore." And then he left these places altogether. They say that, having gone to that place, people sometimes find themselves, as it were, in another reality, in other places, another nature, where they have never been before. Well, and also here, as if on command, mobile phones and television cameras suddenly turn off and also suddenly start working again.

Village in Udmurtia

In Udmurtia, they found a mysterious village from which the inhabitants fled. People left their homes, but left all their belongings in them. 18 empty houses. From the nearest settlement to this village about five kilometers. But this is directly through the swamps. But you can't walk through them. Bypassing all impassable places, a group of researchers wound about 15 kilometers through the forest.

Several years ago on the Internet I found an article about this village. I kept it for myself ... and forgot it, ”says Valery Kotov, head of the Sphere-X group. - And recently people turned to me. They found one of the geologists on that expedition. It was he who explained to us how to get to this village. According to the stories of geologists, the village was in a clearing. All the trees around were burned out. Smoke was coming from the chimneys, but there was not a single inhabitant in the village. Valery Kotov with a group of researchers did not find a burnt circle, as well as smoke from chimneys. Only 18 empty houses, overgrown with raspberries, grass and young trees. The expedition looked into each of these houses. They were not locked. The oven doors in all houses were open. There were wooden dishes on the tables, the beds were made, clothes hung on the chairs. All the utensils remained as if someone had gone out for a while and should be back soon.

Devil's cemetery or glade, Krasnoyarsk Territory

There are 75 known missing or dead over the past 30 years. A glade with a hole in the center, located on the top of a small mountain, formed in 1908. One of the versions - it was here that the Tunguska object fell, broke through the vent extinct volcano, because of which the glade itself was formed, and the hole is the ungrown volcano mouth. All living things perish in the clearing, it is known about hundreds of dead cows and other domestic animals that wandered into the clearing.

In this regard, after the war, all people were resettled from these places. In the pre-war period, several hundred people died, either in the clearing itself or near it.

Lake of non-melting ice

Elgygytgyn (Lake of non-melting ice) is a unique crater lake in Chukotka, located on the Anadyr plateau, 390 kilometers northwest of Anadyr. It has an almost circular shape, the diameter of the lake is about 12 kilometers, max. depth - 174 m, area - 110 km, average annual temperature about 3 ° C, altitude - 489 m.

A few indigenous people say that people often disappear here, strange northern mirages appear, unusual phenomena on the surface of the lake, as if some giant creature noisily emerges from the water and disappears just as quickly, so the lake is bypassed, they say, deserted this place is dead ... What could it be? Scientists believe that, most likely, methane comes out of the cracks in the earth's crust at the bottom, but it cannot immediately rise to the surface through the ice water column, accumulates, and then goes up in a huge bubble. But so far this is just a hypothesis. Since the lake was not exposed to glaciation (as scientists believe), it cannot be ruled out that unknown relict organisms can inhabit it.

Near the city of Vyborg

In the Paltsevo area near the city of Vyborg Leningrad region In 1991, an anomalous zone was recorded, named after the three names of the TaGoR researchers (Tatyana, Golts, Raitarovsky). To the northeast of the Paltsevo area, near Vyborg, UFOs were often observed, and a mysterious disappearance of a truck on the highway took place directly in front of eyewitnesses. In addition, locals claim that in this area, during a long stay, you begin to feel someone's observation and a hypnotic gaze.

Valley of the Dead in the Caucasus

The Caucasian Valley of the Dead is notorious among the local population, it is truly an anomalous zone. There are strange references here. Sheep do not graze near this place, birds do not fly. Why is this place so dark? In the 16th century, it was here that there was a village. Which is completely extinct. At that time, a terrible epidemic swept through these places, taking the lives of all the villagers. It was said that it was a terrible family spell that cut down everyone who lived in the village. How many years have passed since those times, but someone does not inhabit the old ruins, do not plow the local fields, do not take care of the garden. Because strange things still happen here. People who unknowingly wandered into these areas had strange visions.

The stories of local residents also tell about ghosts in these places. About terrible headaches that suddenly come to those who are on this earth. Today these places are considered negative, no one visits them. Bypassing the side just in case. In the eighties of the twentieth century, a Soviet photographer visited the Caucasus Valley of the Dead. After making a big photo session, he returned to Moscow and died of an unknown disease. The film was developed by a well-known paranormal researcher. What the whole world soon saw in these photographs shocked many. In ancient gardens among the trees, ghosts of women stood, surrounded by rings of very bright light. Nobody has explained what it is until our time.

Cape Ryty on Baikal

The vicinity of Ryty is an anomaly zone. This is due to the geological features. Isostatics varies between the Akademichesky Ridge and the Rita Basin. People are acutely influenced by both positive and negative influences. Amnesia, hysteria, hallucinations and prophetic dreams are common in this area. The person here is aging at an accelerated pace and feels incredible fatigue. None of the Soviet-era hunting villages organized on this land stood for more than 2 decades. Its inhabitants perished one after another, and the women became sterile. Scientists assumed an increased background radiation near the river gorge, but studies and measurements of indicators could not confirm the hypothesis. Aboriginal people say that they saw UFO close by. It is assumed that in the places of the earth's faults, interaction with the energy of the sun takes place.

Mysterious Green Island

The most incredible rumors have been circulating for a long time about this small island located within the city of Rostov-on-Don. And no wonder. They say that before the start of the Great Patriotic War, a UFO fell here. The unusual aircraft was mistaken for a new enemy reconnaissance aircraft. However, there is an opinion that it really was one of the flying disc-shaped vehicles being developed in the 30s by the German Sonderbureau No. 13 on the orders of Hitler. In 1939, the first "flying disc" with the engine of the inventor Viktor Schauberger took off. In the photographs preserved in the archives of the German secret society "Anenerbe", this device looks exactly like the "flying saucer" described by UFO eyewitnesses. However, some ufologists believe that it was still not a German, but an alien ship. And further events indirectly confirm this version.

The well-known Moscow ufologist Alexei Priima, who lived in Rostov until 1973, claims that he happened to read the memoirs of a former NKVD officer about the "flying device without wings" that crashed on the Green Island. One way or another, the NKVD troops launched a stormy activity on Zeleny. The place was cordoned off, setting up guards. And the incident itself was classified.

However, they did not have time to finish the work, since by the beginning of the war the island was still guarded, and when in the fall of 41st the Nazis broke through to Rostov, they defended fiercely. The Germans, however, no less stubbornly strove to seize Zeleny, which they were especially interested in. Probably, a significant role in this interest was played by the fallen unidentified flying object. Now it is no secret to anyone that Hitler was fond of UFOs, esotericism, extrasensory perception, etc. However, in the case of our island, it is unclear whether Hitler wanted to take possession of the alien apparatus or return the development of his engineers so that the Russians would not unravel the secret of his new weapon.

However, in addition to UFOs, the island has other secrets. From time to time, strange things happen on Green. Here is one typical story. A married couple with a six-year-old daughter were vacationing on the island. While the adults were making a barbecue fire, the daughter disappeared. Parents, having checked the tent and making sure that the girl was not there, ran in panic through the thickets, trying to find the baby. After a couple of hours of unsuccessful searches, they decided to contact the police. And then suddenly they saw their daughter ... sleeping in a tent, which they had searched more than once. When the girl was awakened, she said that in the thickets near the shore she saw a large black stone and, barely touching it, fell asleep. What happened after, how she ended up in the tent, the girl did not remember. But she insisted that she did not return there herself.

Interestingly, attempts to purposefully find the mysterious black stone are futile. However, the island is covered with dense vegetation, and its western part is completely impassable. But it is about it that eyewitnesses most often talk about as an anomalous zone. Several scientific expeditions landed on the island, including the All-Russian Scientific Research Association "Cosmopoisk". Instrumental studies of the western end of the island were carried out, which revealed weak anomalies, probably associated with underground structures on the north-western coast - the remains of old trenches and dugouts, as well as small underground structures of unknown purpose. The members of the expedition witnessed on the island sound signals of unknown origin and manifestations of the properties of a typical "prodigal place" - an anomaly in which the most incredible incidents are possible, first of all, a complete loss of spatial orientation.

Vidimskoe tract

In the Nizhneilimsky district of the Irkutsk region, the Vidimskoye tract, in which there is Dead lake... In the side where the tract is located, a glow constantly appears in the night sky with a silvery tint, and even circles remain on the ground.

People often disappear in the Dead Lake area: both fishermen drown and hunters disappear. In 1992, a group of researchers from Naberezhnye Chelny was lost here. In the same area, 40 km from the village of Vidim, in 1992 a train of 23 wagons, carrying components of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), as well as 42 guards and two locomotive drivers, mysteriously disappeared. They are still looking for it! Mysteriously disappeared in June 1997 task force Vidimsky village police department of three people. Searches also yielded no results.

Lake Labynkyr (Yakutia)

Legendary reservoir in the Oymyakonsky region in the east of Yakutia. According to legend, a huge animal lives in the lake, possibly of relic origin. They say that it is this animal that swallows animals and people. According to legend, the number "swallowed" exceeded ten people. There is no real evidence of the existence of this animal, like dozens of victims. The place is inaccessible, practically unexplored, the lake has not attracted researchers over the past fifty years.

Molebsky Triangle

The so-called Molebsky Triangle, located on the border Sverdlovsk region and the Perm Territory. On its territory abnormal events constantly occur: people and animals disappear. In addition, the locals claim to see creatures of alien origin. However, such mystical illumination of the region is only good for him. Every year from all over the world tourists and ufologists come here to see and feel the aura of this mysterious place.

For example, in 1995, the scientist Valery Yakimov decided to investigate the Molebsky Triangle with a group of ufologists. A group of respected researchers in the amount of 60 people actually observed strange phenomena in the atmosphere, which can be called UFOs. And in 1996, in the publication "Ural Pathfinder" by the ufologist Maxim Shishkin, the cases of disappearance of groups of tourists in the 90s were described in detail and the mysterious phenomena observed by him were described.

Cherepovets bog

Frightening legends are circulating in the Vologda Oblast about this swamp. Rumor has it that it allegedly "asks" its future victims to come closer to it. There are very frequent cases of suicide, and under unclear circumstances. Locals also claim that people who often do not know the peculiarities of this place approached it and literally in a few minutes disappeared without a trace ... In the 19th century, merchants regularly disappeared here. In 1972, because of the collapse of the ground, dozens of soldiers were killed here, who drove through the swamps in heavy equipment. And nowadays, a few local residents or tourists disappear into the swamp every year.

Mysteries of the witch forest

The anomalous zone in the vicinity of the city of Yuryev-Polsky, which is on the border of the Yaroslavl and Vladimir regions, is little known and is not very popular with researchers. UFOs are seen in the zone no more often than in other places, there are no mysterious disappearances of people or leaps in time. But the forests there still enjoy a bad reputation.

Perhaps the most striking incident occurred in 1992 with members of an amateur research group who came here after they read an article in the newspaper about the local anomalies. The group consisted of several young people. In the village, they met local guys, who told that the ghost of a man in a noose sometimes appears in the forest. This story is old, happened soon after the war. As if some demobilized soldier on a drunken business killed his wife and several other people, and when he got sober, he went into the forest and hanged himself. The body was found and taken away, but since then in the evening twilight, most often on the full moon, the soldier is sometimes seen in the thickets, hanging from a tree. Two urban "explorers" who believed neither in God nor in devil, decided to walk through the forest on the full moon, in order to dispel the legend later. The rest were left to wait for them at the edge of the fire. By the way, the townspeople already more or less knew the local forest. It was sparse, walking along its outskirts in the evening did not seem such a difficult task. Moreover, the moon was shining.

One of these two, Maksim, later said that they almost immediately felt fear, but did not show it, tried to keep cheerful and walked as fast as the bush would allow. Maxim's friend was the first to notice a rope with a noose hanging from a tree. Both were frightened, but assumed that it was probably the villagers who played a trick on them, they deliberately hung the rope. However, the friends decided to end their trip and went to the edge, which was supposed to be a few tens of meters away. But no matter how much they walked, for some reason the forest did not end.

Suddenly the tree with the rope was again in front of them. This was exactly it, the guys immediately recognized him. In some incomprehensible way, the friends again went to the place of suicide! They were seized by real fear, they backed away and asked the snatch. But after a while they again stumbled upon the same tree. Only this time there was a man in the noose! The young people saw him quite clearly! Now, in a real panic, the friends rushed to run in earnest. As if on purpose, the moon disappeared into clouds, a strong wind rose, trees swayed around. This only increased the fear of the fugitives. Stopping to catch their breath, they clearly heard the crunch of branches under someone's feet behind their backs. Not remembering how, the guys jumped out of the forest. And when they were running along the edge, they looked back and saw the dark silhouette of a man who was moving after them. It was difficult to see him in the darkness, but Maxim and his friend had no doubts - this is the same deceased.

They ran to the fire. Apparently, the fear was passed on to the rest. Not becoming to find out what kind of stranger was pursuing the members of their group, the "researchers" ran in a crowd into the village. They burst into the house, alarming the owners. Together with the guys, a guard dog ran into the house, which had never happened before, and, trembling, hid under the bed. At this hour (it was half past midnight) the whole village woke up. Dogs howled in every yard. The horses whinnied loudly and fought in the stable; in the end they broke free and swept away into the meadows. Some villagers, looking out the windows, saw the dark figure of a man, but for some reason no one came out and asked who he was. On the contrary, people were afraid even to turn on the light. The next day, Maxim and his friend said that they had seen a gallows in the forest. They were convinced that this dead man followed them all the way to the village. Surprisingly, their story was believed. Someone remembered that this had already happened: suddenly, on the quietest night, a storm began, the animals were alarmed, and a "black man" walked through the village, in whom the old-timers recognized the same soldier. In addition to the soldier, another ghost "lives" in the forest. It can be seen during the day.

Nikolskoe cemetery. The last refuge of officials

One of the mysterious places in Russia - the old Nikolskoye cemetery at the famous Alexander Nevsky Lavra in St. Petersburg was opened back in 1861. Today, the once famous cemetery is rather neglected, although the highest Lavra clergy were once buried here. The marble mausoleums are lopsided, and the family crypts are for the most part rudely broken open, because since the end of the twentieth century, cases of grave-digging have been repeatedly noted at the Nikolskoye cemetery.

"Black archaeologists" hunting for the regalia of bishops and ministers buried in the Nikolsky necropolis are not even embarrassed by the fact that the cemetery has long been famous for the fact that here, among centuries-old trees and abandoned graves, right in the center of St. evil spirits.

Nowadays, the Nikolskoye cemetery is being put in order by the city authorities and the monastery. Ruined graves are being restored, thickets are being cut down. An alley of knights of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky was also created. The cemetery is becoming popular again, especially its "front" part, but not the one, unfortunately, where prominent writers, scientists and the flower of the clergy rest, but new pompous alleys with the burials of officials and businessmen.

Satan walks through the Nikolskoye cemetery, usually in the form of a huge black cat. According to legend, at the end of the 19th century, a certain monk lived near the cemetery, about whom there was fame as a skillful healer. But the sick did not know that the monk heals them ... with a powder from the bones of the dead. The monk was not a monk at all - he studied black magic and worshiped Lucifer, and wore a robe only to divert his eyes. For his soul, he received the ability to heal.

The black monk's dream was to receive the elixir of immortality, and the devil provided him with a recipe: on the bright holiday of Easter, the monk tied a girl to the cross, gouged out her eyes, cut off her tongue and put a cup under the stream of blood. But he did not have time to drain the bowl full of the victim's blood: while performing all the rituals, he forgot that this must be done before dawn. With the first rays of the sun, he collapsed dead to the ground.

Those who came to visit the graves of their relatives on Easter morning were amazed by what they saw: a dead girl tied to a cross, and a monk, whose mouth was full of worms, and one leg was covered with hair and looked like a cat's paw! It was after this terrible incident at the Nikolskoye cemetery that they began to meet a huge black cat. Surely the uncle is looking for a new sacrifice and longs to possess new souls, and does he not receive them in exchange for pointing the way to the richest burials?

Bypass channel. The line between the worlds of the living and the dead

For what reason, in some places, a person feels good, while in others, at first glance, much more pleasant and prosperous, he goes to suicide? Esotericists and parapsychologists explain this by the curse of the lost places, which remain so, even when “dressed” in granite and marble.

The Obvodny Canal in St. Petersburg has had a bad reputation for a long time. At first it was the outskirts of the city, but today the Obvodny Canal area is the most prestigious center. But ... the inhabitants do not stay here for a long time, especially the sensitive people. In any way they try to get out of " damn place", Exchange or sell their homes on the banks of the" ditch ", the waters of which, like a magnet, attract suicides.

Sometimes a person is not even able to explain why it was here that the thought of suicide occurred to him. Many people call the Obvodny Canal Bridge "the line between two environments" - the world of the living and the world of the dead.

In the black waters of the canal, you can often see the faces of suicides, both recently passed away and centuries ago.

Some of the unfortunate people who manage to be rescued even claim that they did not want to jump into the water at all and that an invisible hand simply threw them over the railing of the bridge!

Even during the time of Peter the Great, the founder of St. Petersburg, the location of the present canal was used by the local population - the Karelians - a bad name. Here was the dwelling of a sorcerer, famous for his ability to bewitch enemies. When the canal was laid, the sorcerer was executed, but his blood spilled at this place continues his dirty work to this day, drawing into the world of shadows the souls of careless victims - the descendants of the conquerors of the Karelian lands.

Obvodny Canal is the largest canal in St. Petersburg. It connects the rivers Neva and Yekateringofka. For many years, for the numerous factories growing like mushrooms on its navigable shores, the canal served both as a waste ditch and as a place for water intake. Today the canal has become shallow, and only dilapidated premises remind of factories and factories. Many buildings are being restored, but even office clerks are trying to find work outside the area, complaining of constant headaches and depression.

Some researchers of historical secrets claim that there was no sorcerer in these parts, but there lived a sorcerer who worshiped pagan gods. It was his temple that was ravaged, and the sorcerer himself and six innocent Karelians - clergymen - were killed at the site of the future canal. What is true and what is fiction is not clear, but the fact remains: in the waters of the canal, suicides more often see the faces of girls in white, and local residents argue that, despite the external comfort, the psychological atmosphere in the Obvodny Canal area is depressing.

A building with a rotunda on Gorokhovaya. Dream in exchange for life

Every resident of St. Petersburg who is interested in his city can show the way to the house with a rotunda on Gorokhovaya Street near Fontanka. Behind the old door leading to an inconspicuous mansion is hidden the most real miracle invisible from the street - lined up in a circle and directed upward to the dome, columns and an elegant cast-iron spiral staircase, on which at midnight, according to legend, appears none other than himself Devil.

How the round structure could be inside a standard house, history is silent. The mansion was rebuilt many times, but the rotunda always remained inside - no one dared to break this mystical building.

The rotunda has a unique acoustics: if you stand in the middle of the structure above and whisper something quietly, the phrase will seem to fly around the vault in a circle and return to the speaker ... from the back! It turns out that the rotunda can whisper anything in your ear - you just need to get here and find the necessary words!

In the history of St. Petersburg, you can find a mention that once the owner of the mansion with the rotunda was a prominent freemason, Count Andrei Zubov. It was here, under the dome, which was reliably hidden from prying eyes by the attic floors of the house, that the initiation rites of the new members of the St. Petersburg Masonic Lodge were performed.

Grigory Rasputin, who was often referred to as the Holy Devil, also often visited the house with the rotunda. His mansion was right next door. They say that Satan himself appears on the stairs at midnight, who can fulfill any person's dream, but ... the supplicants, usually, in the morning are dead. They can enjoy a dream come true only for a few hours - until dawn.

The Rotunda is undoubtedly a mysterious place. If you look at the columns from below, there is a feeling of dizziness and flight. The world around begins to revolve, like the wheel of samsara - fate, the tread of which can not be changed by any forces except ... the rotunda! Before the tenants of the house with a mysterious structure inside nevertheless put a lock on the doors of their entrance, protecting their property from uninvited visitors, all the walls around were covered with the cherished desires of people who seek to change their lives. Many of those who came here say that after visiting this place, their wildest dreams came true.

Building of Moscow State University. Stalin's mystical pyramid

Right in the middle of Moscow, practically in its very center, there are stepped high-rise buildings - the so-called “Stalinist high-rises”. They were erected in the middle of the 20th century by order of I. Stalin. It is no secret that the leader was very interested in mysticism, and he wanted to strengthen the influence of his own personality throughout Russia, and especially in Moscow.

Pyramids are not in vain attributed paranormal properties. They were built by most of the great civilizations: the ancient Egyptians, Maya and Aztecs, the pyramids were found in Mesopotamia and the Crimea, and even Lenin was buried not just anywhere, but in a stylized pyramid!

Everyone who studied the effects of pyramids on the human body noted that these constructions have extremely positive aspects. But besides the fact that the pyramids of high-rise buildings, which are located along the circular line of Moscow, undoubtedly have an impact on the health of those who live in them, other factors should be noted: literally each of these buildings has its own mysteries and secrets.

All 8 "Stalinist skyscrapers" were laid on the same day and hour: exactly at noon, September 7, 1947, on the significant day of the 800th anniversary of Moscow. And although their laying was only symbolic, and the real construction began only two years later, Stalin preferred to listen to the opinion of astrologers. It was they who chose an auspicious date. High-rise buildings still stand firmly on their feet and, undoubtedly, are an adornment of Moscow.

Some claim that the rather deep basements of Moscow State University are connected by a special metro line to the underground strategic town in Ramenki. But this is far from as curious as the fact that in the middle of the 243-meter tower of Moscow State University there is an archival floor, where documents, drawings and sketches of projects of the building are stored, which, according to the plan, should have been crowned by a huge figure of Stalin instead of a spire. The university was supposed to be named in his honor, but ... the tyrant died, and the temple of science was named after Lomonosov, although even the letters to fix on the facade were already ready! The statue of the leader, who became famous for his bloody repressions, was also not installed on the tower of Moscow State University. To this day, the dissatisfied spirit of Stalin often wanders around the room, shifting old folders from place to place and raising archival dust.

Mikhailovsky Castle. The emperor's last refuge

Mikhailovsky Castle also belongs to the mysterious places of Russia. The last residence of the unfortunate Emperor Paul 1 was his own brainchild - Mikhailovsky, otherwise the Engineering Castle, which was built by his decree in St. Petersburg on the site summer palace his grandmother, the late Empress Elizabeth I.

The Mikhailovsky Castle is named in honor of St. Michael, who appeared to the guard soldier at the place where the castle was later erected. Perhaps the emperor spread the legend of the vision deliberately in order to substantiate the rather dubious need for the urgent construction of a new residence. This is the only known case in the history of Russian architecture when a secular architectural structure was named not in honor of the owner, by the name of the territory or purpose, but in honor of the saint.

The majestic building was erected in just 4 years according to the project of the great Russian architect V. Bazhenov. The construction was supervised by another outstanding architect - V. Brenn, who was also involved in the development of the interiors of the palace.

Paul 1 has been obsessed with the idea of creating his own residence for many years. The Mikhailovsky Castle was built so hastily that for its construction they took the missing materials from the construction sites of St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Tauride Palace, and the work did not stop even at night, they were carried out by the light of lanterns and torches!

In November 1800, on the day of the Archangel Michael, the castle was solemnly consecrated, but the palace was finally finished only a year later. 1801, February 1 - The emperor moved his family to the new palace, which looked more like a medieval fortress. But Paul was in such a hurry that he paid no attention to the cold reigning in the unheated palace, or to the dampness, from which a dense fog hung in the halls to such an extent that even the lights of thousands of candles could not disperse him.

The Emperor lived in the Mikhailovsky Castle for only 40 days. On the night of March 11-12, Paul 1 was killed by conspirators in his own bedroom. The royal family left the Mikhailovsky Castle in order to never return there. The palace-fortress, the only example of palace romantic classicism in Russia, began to gradually fall into desolation.

The death of Paul 1 was predicted by the blessed Xenia of Petersburg herself. She said that Pavel would live for as many years as there are letters in the inscription on the frieze of the Resurrection Gate of the new palace. “The shrine of the Lord befits your house in the length of days,” the inscription read. It had exactly 47 letters - the emperor died in the forty-seventh year of his life.

Perhaps the hasty flight of the royal family from the castle was caused by the fact that the spirit of the late emperor never left the place of violent death. The ghost of Paul 1 appeared almost every night! He was seen by the soldiers and officers of the palace service, as well as bystanders who repeatedly noticed the glowing figure of the late emperor in the dark windows of the palace.

Elyuya Cherkechekh. Crime Alien Land

Yakutia - in the upper reaches of the Vilyui River, there is an anomalous zone - the Yelyuyu Cherkechekh valley, the name is translated from Yakut as "Valley of Death". These places have long been known to hunters and are not well known among them. In the valley there are several huge metal objects of unknown purpose, reminiscent of huge cauldrons, and Yakut legends brought to us events that probably took place so long ago that it is impossible to say exactly when, with whom and why a man-made disaster occurred, which threw here, in the edge of permafrost, all these incomprehensible objects.

In addition to its disgusting character, the Criminal Alien, according to legends, "sows infection" and "releases balls of fire." Translated into modern language, it is possible to say with confidence that for centuries the Yakuts have been passing from mouth to mouth legends about an alien ship that crashed in these parts.

Hunters assure that there is a metal corridor with a large number of metal rooms under the ground of Yelyuyu Cherkechekh. In the midst of winter, it is warm in them, as in summer, but those who stayed overnight in such a room were ill for a long time, and spending the night there twice means dooming themselves to a quick death.

Not far from Elyuyu Cherkechekh flows a river named Algy Timirnit, which means "The big cauldron has drowned." On its shore, in reality, there is a huge, seemingly copper cauldron, which has sunk so deeply into the soil that only its edge is visible above the surface. The size of the boiler is such that trees grow inside it!

Gold miners who saw the boilers in the 1970s said that the diameter of the spheres of an unknown metal ranges from 6 to 9 m, and the substance from which they are made does not take a hammer or a well-sharpened chisel. The top of the "cauldron" is covered with a layer similar to emery, but no tools were even able to scratch this layer. Abnormally lush grass and trees grow around the spheres. A group of gold prospectors who spent the night in the "cauldron" did not feel any impact, but one of the prospectors after a month lost all the hair on his body. The other, on the other side of the head that touched the metal in the dream, had three tiny, non-healing sores, which did not completely heal until the end of his life.

All this - and abnormal vegetation, and hair loss, and ulcers - suggests that the "boilers" have a greatly increased background radiation. It is not in vain that the Yakuts bypass them and, without good reason, do not dare to spend the night in them, although it is warm inside in the most severe frosts. In addition, the legends of the northern people tell about the evil giant Wat Usumu Tong Duurai, whose name translated from Yakut means "Criminal Alien, piercing the earth with a fiery tornado, destroying everything around!"

Their approximate age is from 500 to 800 years. After genetic analysis of the remains, it turned out that most of them belonged to men.

Many hypotheses were put forward for the reasons for the death of people near Lake Roopkund: an avalanche, an epidemic, and mass suicide. Subsequently, when analyzing the bones, it turned out that they were damaged by huge hailstones (up to 7 centimeters in diameter). Horror phenomenon

Talking about mysterious and mysterious places of the world, people usually mention ghosts or semi-legendary stories about the atrocities of the previous owners of certain buildings. Today we will try to highlight those that are not associated with the action of ghosts.

Even Sigmund Freud singled out a special human attraction, which he called "Thanatos". The great psychologist thus explained the desire of people for death and especially dangerous measures and types of activity.

Each reader will be able to name the most creepy place on the planet. Since some are frightened by local legends, a glance is enough for all the nightmares to come to life in the imagination. Others cannot be penetrated by anything. Therefore, we tried to select anomalous zones of various types.

There are 5 of the most creepy places associated with poltergeist, ghosts or tectonic activity. We will talk about such objects, which may not look very remarkable from the outside, but leave an indelible and deep mark for life after visiting.

Winchester House, San Jose, USA

On our virtual tour, we'll explore some of the scariest places in the world. The sample concerns not only man-made objects, but also unexplained natural phenomena.

The first place we visit will be an extravagant mansion in the state of California. Today it houses a tourist attraction. But it used to be the home of Sarah, the widow of William Winchester. His father invented the famous rifle. He soon died, as did his son and granddaughter.

When the woman attended an audience with the medium, he gave her a message from William. According to the deceased, she should have bought a piece of land in San Jose and built a mansion there with a specific layout. It should have many rooms, traps and tricks to confuse the angry ghosts of people killed from Winchesters.

Spent all my multimillion dollar fortune to build this shelter. It has interesting points. For example, stairs to the second floor, ending in a wall, or doors without rooms. Also, this mansion is permeated through and through with the magic number 13. There are so many steps in each of the stairs, in many rooms there are so many windows, in the building there are “damn dozen” bathrooms.

In total, the estate has over one hundred and sixty rooms, forty staircases, six kitchens, but only one shower. There are also about two thousand doors, but only four hundred and fifty doorways.

We decided to start our excursion from this particular estate, as it is the most extravagant and unusual. It even starred a feature film based on the biography of Sarah Winchester.

Aokigahara forest

Probably the creepiest place on the planet is the Suicide Forest in Japan. It is originally called Aokigahara (Valley of Green Trees). This reserve is located at the foot of Mount Fuji. In principle, the landing can only be liked in clear sunny weather. The rest of the time, she just breathes doom, dullness and meaninglessness.

Aokigahara is only slightly behind the bridge in San Francisco in the number of cases of settling accounts with life. Interestingly, the forest has long been considered the abode of evil spirits and demons. Up to the beginning of the twentieth century, poor families brought the elderly and children here to die, whom they could no longer provide with food.

Later, from about the middle of the last century, many lower and middle-level workers came here. Apparently, impressionable Japanese find the only way to escape from the "rat race" of society.

About a hundred suicides are found here every year. Recently, even unofficial squads of marauders have appeared. They comb the thickets in search of bodies and rob their pockets, take off their jewelry. Thus, the mysterious places of the planet help not only the development of tourism, but also enrich local fraudsters and thieves.

The Japanese government is funding the cleaning of the bodies. According to eyewitness accounts, the most common endings of life are drug poisoning and hanging.

Local authorities have taken a number of measures to help as many people as possible abandon the stupid decision. Along the perimeter of the forest there are signs with a call to change your mind and a helpline. Also, video cameras are directed to many paths leading into the thicket. And the attendants working in nearby establishments have already learned how to calculate potential suicides. They immediately report the information to the police.

It is noteworthy that in Japan several books and films have been released that tell about the specifics of this place. And Tsurumi's "Guide to Suicide" is often found near corpses in the forest.

Overtone bridge

The darkness of the soul is incomprehensible to another person, and even the most persistent and sane individual can go crazy in the corners of inflamed illusions. But what causes some animals to commit suicide is an interesting question.

We continue to review the world's scariest places. And next in line is the Overtown Bridge, near the Milton settlement in West Dumbartonshire. Interesting cases have been recorded here since about the middle of the twentieth century. Almost every month at least one dog jumps from the bridge into the water.

Most die immediately, and the survivors return after a while to try again.

It is noteworthy that animals live by instincts, and such deviations are not characteristic of them. That is why commissions have come here several times to investigate such an unusual anomaly.

Today there are two versions highlighting the reason. One of them was proposed by ethnographers and collectors of folklore, the second - by zoologists.

According to the first, a man with a child once came to the bridge. He declared his son a product of satanic forces and threw the baby into the water, and after a couple of days he jumped himself. Since then, it has become a tradition that the boy's ghost invites the dogs to play. Animals, due to their ability to perceive the subtle world, without suspecting anything, follow the ghost and die.

A more rational explanation was put forward by scientists, after many months of research. According to their theory, minks are to blame for everything. These rodents live along the banks of the river, and over the years these places have simply smelled of them. Dogs, focusing on the intensity of the smell, rush to chase prey and fall from the bridge into the water.

We consider the most creepy places in the world. And no one can fully explain their specifics, otherwise they would cease to be mysterious. So it is with the Overtone Bridge.

Even if the reason lies in burrows, why do dogs that survived a fall from fifteen meters return and rush again? These animals have a very developed memory for the places and people who hurt them.

Jatinga

Thus, it is impossible to hide from some terrestrial anomalies, even by rising high in the air. For the first time, the English tea planter and plant researcher E. Ji spoke about the unusual phenomenon. He described a strange period in late August, when large flocks of birds begin to flock into the Jatinga Valley and crash into the ground with a bang.

At first, no one believed him and considered his recordings to be fictional. But one orientologist decided to check the legend. It turned out that the tea grower was telling the truth. So Sengupta became the first scientist who recorded the unusual August "birdfall".

According to this researcher, the birds are in a kind of trance, "like somnambulists." They throw themselves at the fires and lamps of the local village. If you take an animal that has not been killed to death, it does not resist, but completely refuses food and water. It is noteworthy that after three or four days of madness, the released bird flies away as if nothing had happened.

But the creepy places in the world are often perceived ambiguously. Tourists and visiting researchers see them as an anomalous threat, while locals invent a myth to justify the event. Thus, the aborigines of this valley say that the gods rewarded them with such a "birdfall" for their righteousness. They can collect a bunch of carcasses and use them for food. It turns out a kind of analogue of "manna from heaven" for an Indian village.

Thelem Abbey, Sicily

Discussing the most terrible places in the world, we return to the creation of human hands. The next attraction that we will talk about is a one-storey house in the town of Cefalu on the island of Sicily.

It was once acquired by Aleister Crowley, one of the most famous and controversial occultists of the early twentieth century. Here he was going to create the basis for a future civilization, cleansed of Christian darkness and obscurantism.

It was within these walls that Crowley resumed satanic rituals, as well as the practice of witchcraft with the use of narcotic drugs. Thus, the initiation included the simultaneous use of marijuana with heroin and a night of reflection in a special room called the "Hall for Visions" or "Room of Nightmares." In this room, the walls are painted with dark frescoes depicting different circles of hell and heaven.

The abbey was closed after the famous British aristocrat Raoul Loveday died on its territory. Presumably, he poisoned himself with drugs mixed with cat blood. Thus ended the history of the commune living under the slogan "Do whatever is the only law."

There are many eerie abandoned places on the planet, but only attracts crowds of unofficial visitors. Fans of witchcraft and the activities of Aleister Crowley come here every year. They strive to touch the ruins in order to receive a powerful energy charge from their idol.

Devil's Cemetery. Krasnoyarsk region

There are natural scary places in Russian Federation... We'll start with a remote area in Siberia. In general, ethnologists have collected a lot of materials about the most incredible features and terrible secrets that the taiga keeps. But now we will talk about what was really recorded by various groups of researchers in the form of photographs and videos, and not simple stories.

Presumably, the Devil's Cemetery appeared as a result of unusual cosmic activity associated with the fall.According to the recollections of old-timers, one day an object fell from the sky, and a rounded edge was formed in the forest. The ground turned black and smoke began to appear from it at times. In summer, no grass grows on this place, only a little moss, and in winter there is no snow.

Any animal that gets inside the damn circle dies within the next few hours. People, however, according to eyewitnesses, here experience an inexplicable feeling of melancholy, and as they approach the very edge, an irrational fear grows, gradually turning into panic.

Thus, eerie places on Earth can be not only natural, but also of cosmic origin.

Sablinskie caves

Speaking about the most creepy place on the planet, it is especially worth dwelling on. There are no bloodthirsty monsters, inexplicable and oppressive horror among visitors or satanic symbols. Just a fairly large underground natural formation. For example, the length of one of the catacombs is more than seven kilometers, and the height of the halls is up to five meters.

In Soviet times, the object was classified, since under the ground were hiding all kinds of criminal individuals who were outside the law. They called themselves dissidents. Even about ten different gangs were formed. Several people disappeared here every month and are still missing. At the same time, all the well-known "political" hiding under the ground have long since left their lost place. Today, according to official data, there is not a single "underground inhabitant" there.

The Sablinskie caves are constantly visited by extreme lovers and those who like to visit the eerie places of Russia. They are not even afraid of the facts of the frequent disappearance of curious onlookers.
Scientists see the reason for this anomaly in underground free-flowing sands and movements of the earth's crust. A group that entered one of the tunnels may in a second be buried under tons of sand. All this data is based on the stories of gang members who once lived in these caves.

Death road. Lyubertsy-Lytkarino highway

Let's talk about the mysterious places of the Moscow region. In principle, around Moscow, researchers of anomalous zones count about a dozen sections of the highway with an increased risk of fatal accidents.

But the section of the Lyubertsy - Lytkarino highway, near the village of Pekhorka, is considered the most unsafe. If you drive along this road, you can see many wreaths in the trees along the asphalt pavement, marking the places of death of drivers.

Most of the accidents date back to the period from 1990 to 2002. The sudden decrease in mortality after 2003 is explained by the fact that at that time the governor took over the "anomaly". As a former military general, he did not philosophize. In this section, the concrete road surface was replaced with excellent quality asphalt and four speed bumps were installed.

After such preventive measures, the drivers did not have the opportunity to accelerate much along the highway.

Skeptics and realists often say that scary places are mortally dangerous only for those who neglect common sense, and the locals tell a legend that this segment became the "road to death" because the covering was laid over the old cemetery. Here are the ghosts of the dead and take revenge on unlucky drivers who find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Beria's house

We talked about the mysterious places of the Moscow region, in conclusion, I would like to note another strange building in the capital itself. In Soviet times, this house was almost the most scary place district. Passers-by tried to bypass the street by the tenth road, and if it was necessary to walk along it, they crossed to the opposite side.

What is such a terrible building? House of the State Security Commissioner Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria. This man was one of the organizers of the Stalinist repressions. The building is located in Vspolny Lane. Today its premises are occupied by the Embassy of Tunisia.

According to eyewitnesses (local residents and researchers), a couple of times a month at about three o'clock in the morning you can hear ghostly sounds near the house. It is said to be the distinct noise of a powerful motor. An invisible car “drives up” to the door of the building. His doors are heard opening, a man's voice is saying something. Then the door slams and the car drives away. The whole incident takes about three minutes.

Thus, in this article, we talked about the terrible places in Russia and the world. We got acquainted with both safe objects that can interest ufologists or adolescents, and with deadly formations, which it is better not to approach.

Good luck, dear readers! Travel wisely.
